Hey crazychatter - welcome! My posts tend to be ridiculously long as well... join the club!
I know the feeling about not making excuses....! Well done in doing the £10 a day challenge for 2 weeks! Wipe the slate clean now and start afresh tomorrow - I know I tend to think 'Oh well, I've overspend today, I might as well overspend tomorrow' - but that's not very helpful really, the best thing to think is 'oh well, I slipped once, now I'm getting back on the straight and narrow' ;-)
Well done wtbas - I also am using up things in the freezer, figured I'd knock my portions down and chew a lot more to help... it does work - but then when chewing has helped me feel full, it's having the self control to STOP eating!!

hiya!
This is my first ever post.. was a bit of lurker here before hand.
My eating/finances seem to go hand in hand because when I have a large bank balance (ie after pay day) I seem to have to wear the larger clothes.. and when I have very little in way of £'s I'm back into my smaller clothes..
HELP!!

Hiya Kmac!
Congrats on posting :-) My first ever post was a little while ago, and now I'm a convert - yay!!
It's funny, I tend to eat healthier when I have more money, as I feel I can splash out on all fresh new ingredients every day!! And then when we're strapped for cash, I buy cheap junk food.. not good!!
Do you think you worry about your finances and that helps you lose weight?? I tend to comfort eat... bllagh!
Oh nooo.. the boss has just bought in chocolates... and I'm eating them... stop me now someone!!Personal challenge: Do without as much as possible to pay off £12k by 07/2009!!!:T

Hi everyone! Confession time!
I discovered a 2 finger kit kat and a mini mars bar in my desk drawer today and rather than having one today and one tomorrow, I've just eaten them both! However, I figure this will help me as what I can't get my hands on I can't eat! It would also mean that if I were desperate to eat something sweet then I'd have to spend money - something which I don't like doing!!
Phew! Glad I got that off my chest - although I can feel them both making a direct line for my hips! A minute on the lips, a lifetime on the hips as they say!
I will officially weigh in tomorrow before my diet class. I think before tea-time is a good time to weigh as you've had the day of eating/exercising but before you've had your main meal of the day. Weighing in the morning could give a false reading. However, I think as long as you are consistent in when you weigh then it will work out the same!
Keep going everyone!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My DebtsDFW Long Hauler #109

I've put 2 x 2-finger-KitKats on my daily menu.
They're not hugely calorific, and satisfy my chocolate longings
My real problem this week is 3 meals out (2nd one tonight might be OK it's a mezze, I think if you pick carefully they're quite healthy?) Last nights Indian was possibly a weeks calories0 -
and I just had a Fab ice lolly! Why is so difficult to say no???0

Good point Olive! I suppose I shouldn't deny myself as that could make things worse! I just love chocolate so much - even my breakfast cereal has chocolate in it! Maybe if I factored in a small choc bar each day that would satisfy me!
I go mad when I go for a meal out, but in the spirit of spending less, I shall just go out for meals less too!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My DebtsDFW Long Hauler #109
