and I just had a Fab ice lolly! Why is so difficult to say no???

Try pure fruit lollies or freeze your own juice lollies. Far more refreshing without all that smelly fat (I say smelly fat as that's how I turned myself off things like cream and butter, by conflating them with ransid anaimal fat)

Another trick is to grow to dislike the smell of chip shops and that ransid smell you get in enclosed shopping centres around the food hall section. Imagine breathing in all those people's exilations and that faaty smog.

Macdonalds - again we came to hate that ransid buttery smell you get near (let alone in) a Macdonalds

Did you know the people of Okinawa, Japan live to be the oldest people on Earth. This is apparantly down to them only eating until they are 80% full, and that they eat a huge range of fresh fruit and veg.

Ladies - something thats a bit confusing for us chaps is that you would rather sit having nails / hair done and spend time on makeup, or chosing new clothes, when this time could be used for excercise, which you say you dont have time for:confused:

Another great thing to do is make yourself constantly active (you rest 30% of your life asleep - thats plenty). So instead of sitting on a beach - swim, run about with kids and not for 10 minutes - for hours. In other words be like you were when you were a child. Its a great way to keep the weight off without feeling like your having to work at it. Run from one part of a beach to another, run up the dunes, romp with the kids, play games - and reprogramme yourself to enjoy those experiences rather than having yet another 'sit' about.

    Good luck

  To my dad:mad:

He has invited someone to stay:mad: in my house, I am:mad: .

The person in question is my uncles girlfriend (who I love dearly, by the way), but I have a thing about people staying in my house and me staying in someone elses. You know when you were young and you loved sleeping over at someone elses? Well I didn't. I have never liked that sort of thing and have always been weird like that.

They are coming over for the weekend to visit the poorly family member, my uncle is going to stay with him in his house and the girlfriend doesn't want to stay there, so my dad has invited her to stay with me. He knows how I am and he didn't even ask me. But what can I do? I can't say sorry, I am a weirdo and you can't stay, so I will just need to put up with it. I don't know why I am like this, I always have been.

Even if I was coming to visit one of you guys, I would love to see you, stay at yours until late, but I would need to stay in a hotel or guest house. I have never even kipped at my best friend's house overnight.

He knows that he has done the wrong thing, my mum said that he said, oops, Lynne does not look happy with that..........

He should keep his mouth shut, I will now have a miserable weekend. I was meant to be going to a wedding with my friend, but I will need to stay in with my guest now. And having guests interferes with diets.............

My DH does this sort of thing too, invites people to stay and I go    He says that I am a weirdo as well.

Am I weird??? I am being extremely angry today, sorry girls.

    SL xx

Just noticed we have a man here as well, so sorry to Conrad too (and we have only just met).

Thank you conrad for some good ice lolly ideas there, I used to have lolly moulds when I was little, quite tempted to get some more now!

I guess there will always be confusion between men and women! I don't understand how men can watch hours of football, cricket, rugby etc but not play it with their kids!

Wanttobeasaver- you have a beach close? I am so jealous!!

Lynne- no you are not a wierdo, my sister is exactly the same, your Dad should have asked you first but maybe he is a bit stressed about the poorly person and not thinking things through as he usually would? I would be really annoyed that I couldn't go to a wedding because of it, if the girlfriend knew you had cancelled going maybe she would change her mind about staying at the same place as your uncle?

    Thanks Crazy,
I'm glad I'm not weird, but my dad is always like that, it's nothing to do with stress, he just likes volunteering people for things (except himself). They might take poorly back home with them if he agrees to it, but he might want to stay where he is.

He is getting out of the hospital tomorrow, so will wait and see what happens. My dad might be in there in his place by tomorrow..............

Oh dear, that is annoying!! come online if you get cross and try not to eat chocolate out of annoyance or feeling that you deserve a treat, I do that and it doesn't help at all!
