I'm both pleased but cross, pleased that i managed to turn down take out again last night but cross because I finally got the guts to get weighed at Boots yesterday and I have put half a stone on since I stopped going SW last autumn! Grrrr!
I'm tempted by a fruit juice detox but don't think I have the staying power! I'll try if anyone wants to do it with me?

oh bluejeans if i wasnt so afraid i think the theory of colonic irrigation sounds great lol - re the green stuff i wish i had a garden! Only a tiny dirty yard (full of builders supplies left here by whoever did the house up and i cant get rid of them as its a rental) and even though i keep reuseable bags in the boot - i somehow forget to bring them into the shop like 50% of the time

piglet re the detox - its 4 sashets u mix in with a fruit juice or soup (although apparently it tastes rank) u start at 5pm on a friday, take again 9pm friday, 9am saturday and 1pm on saturday and back to food shortly after. But whatever its made of makes ur inside just flush everything out:eek: and continues to do so all of saturday and part of sunday (lol some of the reviews advise u get baby wipes before you start :o:rotfl:). But by monday you apparently feel great and full of energy and overall you can lose about 4lbs

Good luck to all those who are doing their weigh in today :j happy thoughts for u all!

    Morning girls,

Well, my visitors have arrived, uncle away to poorlys and aunte and wee fella in my house. I am in the shop now, it wasn't so bad. I wasn't good yesterday, chippie for dinner, but a good start to today, had a roll and butter for breakfast. The shop is really quiet, it is pouring with rain here, so maybe not a lot of customers today, but it is still early.

It's my wedding anniversary, 1 year married today, DH on the other side of the world, but never mind. He has texted this morning and is sending me flowers, (he phoned my mum the other day, I was standing next to her:rotfl: ). I don't know what to do about this wedding tomorrow, I think it's rude to go out, especially as my uncle will be with poorly all the time, don't want to leave my guests unattended.

    Speak later,
    SL x
  • Lynne, It is a difficult situation but I would just mention it to your aunt and she will proably encourage you to go, I know I would as I'd feel really bad if I knew I was stopping someone going to a wedding.

Congrats on the anniversary, what a shame you can't be together, does your hubby know that you know about the flowers or are you going to act surprised?!

Little miss, thanks for the detox info, I'm not sure I want to waste a weekend feeling horrible, I bet the good feeling and weight loss doesnt last that long, maybe I'll give that a miss! Anyone else tried any detoxs?

crazy - got the flowers and acted surprised sent him a text to thank him, know it's a shame, but that's life I suppose.

I cancelled going to the wedding, my friend was fine with it, have known her since primary school, so know her inside out. Auntie doesn't know anything about the wedding so I don't want to make her feel bad. It's not their fault they are here I suppose, it's poorly's, hope he can get himself sorted out. The stress of it all is terrible for my mum, his partner has left him, she is now turning nasty, you can't blame her for leaving but no need for nastiness, she thinks it's my mum's fault (mum does not encourage him to go to the pub like she does). It's a terrible business, alcoholism is an illness, I know to a certain degree it is self inflicted, but it can get a grip of people quite easily, poorly has a really fantastic job with mega salary but cannot go half the time cause he is drunk, will end up losing the job. you imagine that it's only losers, doleys and dossers that are alcoholics, but it can happen to anyone, I know that now!! Sorry for ramblings.
