Aww Jo, I'm sorry to hear that, I'm glad your feeling a bit better! big hugs!!
BGB, while going to the gym twice a day seems a bit worryingly obsessive to me, if that made you feel happy then I'm pleased that you are going back to it, just please don't get too carried away and injure yourself. The main thing is learning to like yourself for who you are instead of killing yourself to be what you think you should be. sorry if i sound preachy!
Welcome MunchKinKel, We are all in the same boat but there is always a way out, it might be really far away at the moment but once you have a plan you will feel better. CMCmconnell has gone to see a free organisation called CCC to look at her debt, can't rememeber what that stood for but hopefully when she pops back on she will give you some more information and advice.
Right girls I need that kick up the !!!!! I had two pints of cider and a pie last night! not good! and I'm going to see family this weekend so that will be full of eating out and sweets! I NEED to get myself in gear!

Not preachy at all! Everyone used to say I was obssessed by it, although I would just work really hard at the gym, and at the end of every 10 week period, have 1-2 weeks off as my reward to enjoy feeling great and let my body recouperate.
In reality, I love the gym environment and being able to through myself into something 110%. My job is behind a desk and not really that stimulating and I've always love physical things whether that be building things or painting or gardening. Getting to the gym lets me release the boredom pressure valve and go into something with gusto and let me feel like I'm really achieving something (which is not something I can get from my day job).
A lot of my friends are sportsmen and women so the twice a day training that I was doing was really similar to their routines. Was always great fun to outrun, outpush, outjump my gym partner who competed in the Commonwealth Games! Bring it on!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Hi guys,
It's been ages since I've spoken with you all - I've had major problems at home. The main one was my cat had to be rushed to an emergency vet on Monday night to have surgery which I found out the next morning was a 1inch stick lodged through his eye. What I can't believe is that he hasn't lost his eye or his sight but we're having to watch him and bring him to the vet every few days (so that's one of his nine lives used up). As we don't have insurance....yes you know what I had to do but whack it on the credit card at a staggering £450+ pounds and that doesn't include the extra visits to the vet.
I'm just feeling really tired - but saying that I now have a lovely new Wii Fit Board :T which I started using and it was FUN doing exercise for 18 minutes - and that is more than I do in a monthand another thing is that I'm down another pound or so, so things weight wise are looking okay.
It's the end of my lunch break now so I won't be back on until tomorrow.

Hi Tesscha, I'm really sorry to hear about your cat, I'm pleased that he'll be ok! Well done on the Wii Fit and loss! that's great!!!
I'm too scared to weigh myself! I did just manage to say no to a KitKat but I know I'll have one before the end of the day, I've already had two squares of choc and a barley sugar sweet but I can't reign in my sweet tooth!

Crazy chatter dont do it!!!
I'm exactly the same with my sweet tooth but I'm on track today for my first sugar free day in months! You CAN survive the afternoon without that nasty poisonous kitkat! :T :j'What doesnt kill me only makes me stronger'Official DFW Member #1036 - Proud to be dealing with my debtsKeep Calm and Carry On0 -
Oh Freeme, that is excactly what I needed! I will resist just for you!0

Welcome, MunchkinKel - nice to have you on board!
Tesscha - I'm so sorry to hear about your cat, but pleased that he is going to be alright. I know the cost is a pain, but well worth it in this instance to get him better again...
Crazy - I hope that you are resisting that KitKat...just keep thinking of FreeMe's excellent advice!
Me? Well, after this morning's little Starbucks hiccup, for some reason I had eaten my healthy brought-from-home sarnies by 10.30am (!!!) so was pretty hungry by lunchtime. However, I resisted buying something else, (although I did wander round the local M&S Simply Food and eye up all my options before leaving empty-handed
) and have just had a small mullerlight yoghurt, which should see me through to dinner. Phew
- crisis averted!
Dinner tonight is going to be roasted vegetables (courgette, mushroom, onion & cherry tomatoes) and pasta (not sure what type of sauce yet - will either be a basic tomato one or I might use some Boursin light), so the thought of that is going to have to keep me going for the next couple of hours...
Hope everybody is having a good afternoon!

oh bad spending day for me - on my walk into town i called into home bargains and spent £6, mainly on stuff for OH to do him over the weekend (in the hope he wont eat my stuff!) and then spent £13 on a box of rat poison (our back yard is just that a yard on a big alley, but other neighbours don't keep theirs clean!!! so we get rats running about at times). THEN as i needed washing powder and wanted ecover we went to tesco (who no longer do ecover grrr) and ended up spending just short of £20 buying more food for OH, the washing powder lol and some clothes for DD that where reduced and in her next size up. So all in all... £40 i didnt plan on spending!
ah well at least i got a 1 hr walk with the pram lol so its all good. I did buy some weight watcher carrot cake slices in home bargains for me... they spoke to me and look so yummy lol.
piglet - hope dinner tonight is as enjoyable as ur thought are making it hehe
CC - did you manage to avert yourself from the evils of the office?
teescha - aww your poor little cat! eeek at the vets bit, but i think its fair to say that we would all have happily paid it for our own cats in the same situation. Hope he/she feels much better soon!0
