Tried calling. Its permantly engaged. Sounds to me like a sales type call. System rings out a few numbers at once and then they speak to the first one which answers and hangs up the other line.

I've searched on here and can't find anything for this number 01212733761.

Over the last month I've received phone calls from people whose first language is clearly not English as there is a heavy dialect. They usually want me to confirm my name and either ask if I applied for a loan or today I was asked if I have a mortgage.

When I've been asked about the loan (which I didn't go through with over 2 years ago) they ask about how much money I want. I say that they should be able to tell me given that they have my details at which point they tell me that they only have my address and phone number and nothing else. When asked where they got my details they simply either hang up straight away or tell me that it is not a sales call but that they want to help me. They hang up as soon as I ask them to remove my details from their database.

In the past when I've done 1471 the number was with-held so it's possible numerous companies are trying to phone me. Today after 1471 the number 0121 273 3761 was returned and all I can find is this

I’ve tried returning the call to get a company name but there is no answer.

Given that I do not have any loans and I’m not in an IVA or DMP situation and have never been bankrupt can someone tell me why I am getting these calls? I am registered with MPS and TPS and my number is ex-directory.

Can anybody suggest who I can complain to or what I can do to stop the calls? There have been occasions where the phone rings but as soon as I answer the line goes dead.

They called me about 5 times when I was out . They called this evening and they are a will company. When I said 'no thank you', they put the phone down. I do not know where they got my number as we are ex-directory. I am going to try looking up will services in Medway, Kent to find them.

I have been called from 08452 716041 around ten times in the last month, with no message left on the machine. Can anyone identify this number? My home phone is ex-directory and TPS registered; I have passed dates & times to the ICO because this smells like telemarketing to me.

Any help appreciated.
