Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Morning all,
just managed to figure out how to put my old sofa on freecycle. Need to put the rest of the stuff exOH keeps saying he will carboot on there too & am sure I have got some other stuff to ebay.
Well, it would seem that the possible new romance isn't. Things were "on hold" as his ex & sons were moving away last weekend. I have texted a couple of times (and nothing "clingy" - just hi, hope you're ok, talk soon" type of things) and no reply. Left a similar voicemail yesterday, no reply. Sent a final text last night to say "am puzzled & hurt, so i just wish you luck in whatever you're looking for". No reply.
So I do feel very sad, used, stupid, and hurt. And cross with myself for letting myself believe in what I thought seemed so very positive. I am running away to my mate in Kent later to stay the night & we will go out for supper (she is also having crap time with her 14 yr old DD) and put the world to rights.
It just shatters my confidence a little bit more. I'm too tired & sad to keep putting myself through it any more. This is it, this is the way it will be, me & my girls getting on with life.
I did see my local CAB advertising for volunteers to train as advisors (usually they just want reception/admin), so I will go along to their info evening & find out a bit more - at least that's something to focus on. Although with a final uni year & placement coming up it might be too much together, but maybe I can do it when I finish.
No OS'ing going on here for obvious reasons really this weekend. Back on the wagon next week. I know my worries are nothing in relation to others, I'm sorry to moan, but I really thought it was something for a little while there...
Have a good one all. (((((hugs)))) for all those needing them.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -

Hi Squiggly - it just wasn't meant to be, was it? Don't let it knock your confidence. You'll find real love when you are not looking for it. Just enjoy life with your girls.

Thank you Kathy. It felt so different from all the god knows how many dates/coffees I've been for in the past, and it was through Match.com (so you both have to pay which is supposed to = serious about what you are looking for). If he decided he needed some space after the move & it had hit him harder than he expected, etc, then fine, I have no problem with that - it's being ignored & having no explanation that really hurts.
So I am going to do just that, not try & look as it hurts, keep getting kicked in the teeth. I'll just focus on the girls, and uni, and life for now.

Good Morning All
(((Squiggly))) and ((hugs))) for anyone else who needs one.
Drizzly rain here at the moment, not been up long as was up really late (especially for me). Last night was horrible, but necessary. Dont think we have heard the last of it.
Am mooching around today doing a little bit of anything and everything, dont expect to get much done. Think DS & DD will be playing out with their mates. There is a flower and veg show in another village this afternoon so may try and go to that.
Have a great Saturday.

Morning Guys!

Help meeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I have never made twink's hobnobs so I've decided to try them today but I have no bic soda. What happens if it's not used? Will they die a horrible shrivelled death in the oven?
I'm trying not to use elec (as much as possible) so have been sweeping the carpets and handwashing clothes. I already do the switch off at the plug thing and use low energy bulbs. Wonder how much I'll save
I'll make some bread, rolls and twinklestoday, clean out the animals, do a bit of sweeping and pick some strawbs and tayberries.
I am a coffee bean0
