Daily thread for saturday 19th july!

Morning all! off to get the sticky!

This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well

am up early to go and help DH on his milkround! hope you all have a lovely weekend, will pop back later!
Do what you love :happyhear

    Morning.

Wet and windy here. I guess summer is cancelled again this year.
    Yesterday was pants too.
Had friends over last night and did steaks, and washed it down with some nice local Skinners Heligan honey beer.
Today I don't know what we are doing. Daughter wants her room painted I think.
My Dad bought her a new double bed yesterday, so now we have to do the paint and carpet....
He got a new Slumberland matress at an auction for £45, never used. Then a solid wood bed frame in a store on clearance for £62. So cheap bed I would say and it's decent quality too.

Uncle was texting everyone a few hours after surgery on his lung, so I guess he is doing pretty good.

Well folks have a nice weekend

Most important things first....OH is looking for an MP3 file and we can't remember the artist...help. Its Sweet sixteen (the one with peaches and cream etc...). He wants to send it to his daughter on her birthday but can't remember who sang the thing.

As for Old style. Oh doing washing up, me mp3 hunting. Going shopping later so not sure what will get done and when. Have also been told that there's more black currants for me to pick. Yey.

    Hugs for all.

Morning all - bit grey here, too. Getting a bit tired of it; it is July after all.

(((Hugs))) to Smoky, PenPin (hope you have a fantastic holiday), Mrs Mix, Chrisca, Beth and her DBs, Candygirl's Dad, AnnieStar and all in need of one.

    Churchmouse - :hello: :hello: :hello:

Hi Beth - I'm not sleeping too well either but you have a lot more on your plate than I do - I hope you have a good night's sleep tonight.

RedRuby - hope you're feeling better today.

DH is colouring my hair for me this morning; it's in dire need of it and he does a much better job than I do!

I am trying to have a chilled-out stay-at-home-day today which is always difficult when DH is at home. He has some quotes to write up so that should keep him occupied enough for me to get some chores done and a few more wedding favours completed.

I am going to DGD's ballet tomorrow afternoon which I'm really looking forward to; the last one was brilliant.

Well, I'd better take DH his cuppa and wake him up.

Will catch up later; hope everyone has a good Saturday.

    Good morning everyone,

    :hello: Taplady!!!

Tried to have a lie in this morning, but was wide awake so got up - now sitting here with a lovely cuppa!

Have my friends children here today, not sure what time they are being dropped off tho. She is moving house, so will be easier them being here. One of them has football training this morning, so i said we would walk him there and back, the weather looks like it is going to be a lot better than the last few days and i need the exercise.

My new furniture looks lovely (friend who is moving needed rid of a t stand/cupboard and 2 tables), although the tables are a bit big, so nor sure if i will keep them. Its nice to have an extra cupboard to hide all my junk in!!

Cheating with lunch today, i bought some yellow stickered pizzas a while back, so will be cooking the children those wth garlic bread. Ive also been doing lots of baking so they have plenty of cakes and biscuits to keep them going.

Tomorrow will be a quieter day!!!

SOMO1 - my 2 are at school until Thursday, still waiting for the school reports (and DSs SAT results!!)

rchddap - Could it be Sweet sixteen by Johnny Burnette (or the Ringo Star version?)? here is a link to some song lyrics HTH!!! http://www.birthdaypartyideas4kids.com/sweet16lyrics.htm

:hello: to mrs mix, Shez, Ivyleaf, whatawhit, KAAT, N9eav, kaz, beth, and anyone else ive crossed with/forgotton!!!

Oh - Rzl, spotted a proms prog on last night, does that mean we can be Rzl spotting again soon!!!???

Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
