I spoke to them now and they said i will never get my money back (i paid by maestro debit card) but administration company will contact me to inform about the situation. Also they refused to give me their adress (said-i already have their adress). Only if item is in stock there it may be delivered, otherwise no chance to get money back.
Im soooo mad!!!
Have you checked with your bank? Some of then do give you some form of cover with debit card payments.0 -

The reason I say this, is that before I parted with my cash I was looking at the same bed in an ebay shop. The auction ended, but there was a sponsored link to furnituredealuk, which is where I found it £20 cheaper. So I placed my order and also ordered beds and mattresses for the children.
So today I went back to ebay to look. The shop is still there, selling EVERYTHING that I ordered, but that is not reason enough.
The descriptions that they use are almost identical, but again that could come from manufacturer. Then there's the free next day delivery bit..........
They are a powerseller and have good feedback, but of course there is negative too. Mainly furniture taking an age to show up, broken, poor communication etc.
They also have a very similar name too.
BUT, they are in Shropshire.
Is there anyway that we can find out more about ebay sellers and who owns the shop etc?
I've not posted the name as they could be completely innocent and I would never tarnish someones good reputation.
Contact ebay and give them all the details you have to see if anything matches up.0 -
I've been following this forum and I've been a victim of these scammers as well. I am more than willing to help out in anyway with getting these crooks caught and punished if at all possible. I have contacted Watchdog, and Consumer Direct, in the hope that something gets done. It makes me so angry to hear all these stories, I will be much more wary when buying things online in the future. Good luck to al with getting money back or some sort of satisfaction from seeing these guys stopped.0

Me again. I just spoke to someone on the 0116 253 1699 number and the "gentleman" who answered told me that yes, the company had gone into administration and I would need to contact my bank about getting my money back as the product I ordered didn't ever make it to the warehouse. He was polite enough, but I'm still so suspicious and would like to make sure they can't do this to anyone else.0

I have just checked the Ordanance Map and 81 Gartree Road is at the corner with Powys Avenue, just below the roundabout and the Golf Course, with this map you can see right into the garden.
I cant check it out as i am in Edinburgh.0 -
Just spoke to furniture deal, still saying they have gone into liquidation, still would not give me the liquidators names, (company name) and said his name was john welch. please dont take any offence but he did not sound like his accent suited the name.:smileyhea0

Hi Tim,
Ron is on to that for me, so for now we'll say no more and await what ebay have to say. Good chance I'm wrong, but best to follow all leads.0 -
I'm just of the phone to furnituredeal just now on the 01162531699 number, apparently can't even find my order which doesn't surprise me. They apparently have my bed in stock and they advised no way can they deliver it. I've told them catergorically, if the bed is in stock then it will be delivered from Leicestershire to Fife within 7 days. If not, then hell mend them for illegally trading and then going into administration the next day, known full well what was happening.
Furnituredeal advised that they have gone into administration & that the administrators have not been appointed yet (I thought they would be appointed as soon as they went into administration). PKF accountants are involved somewhere along the line.0 -
I have just rang up Furniture Deal and told them I wanted my goods, they checked my order and told me they had placed the order with the supplier but the goods had never arrived in, so I informed him that I knew who the supplier of my dining room table was and that I would ask the supplier whether furniture deal had placed an order, he then admitted that an order was never placed with the supplier, I then told him he had taken my money and had never had any intention of placing the order with the supplier. I told him that was stealing my money from me and maybe the police would like to know, he then got angry and told me to do what I wanted to do. I asked him for his name and he said John I said John who and he said John John (funny name for a guy who went to put me on hold and starting speaking in a foreign language!!)0
