I always make 4 times more than i need and freeze the other 3 lumps or i sometimes bake them all at the same time and freeze them when they are cool.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

thanks for all the replies guys
we ended up having pizza tonight anyway
i normally roll out and put the tomato sauce on my extra pizza and pop it in the freezer already on the baking tray ready to stick in the oven. no need to par bake at all.
i even put my toppings on the pizza straight out the freezer, including the cheese then just stick it in the oven. always turns out fineWhat matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll add it to the pizza QQ thread to keep ideas together

Hi All
Hoping someone can help, I have a Panny SD253 which I have had a few years now, TBH it was a novelty at first and has sat in the cupboard gathering dust. Since joing MSE I have dusted it off again and made paprika bread and a beautiful fruit loaf :j
I remember the last time making dough for bread rolls but they were horrid and like half bricks so into the cupboard it went
So tonight, I got the cheese, passeta and some toppings ready to make pizza, my DD waited in anticipation ............the dough came out like gloop  the book said to roll it and leave to riseIt took me about 10 minutes to wash it off my hands never mind roll it out!!!!!
I have put some extra flour in and threw it in a rectangle baking tray but to me it doesnt look to have risen, do you think I should just cross everything and cook it, in the meantime I ordered takeaway as DD was starving
Sorry for the long post but I am gutted, have always had tremendous results from my BM maybe am just carp at dough like I am at rice lol!!
TIA xx:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

AHhh nightmare. I would just hope for the best and fire it in the oven! I am sure it will be fine. Did you originally measure everything out exactly?
I wouldnt worry and would just cook it myselfx

The BM has to make a loose dough, otherwise the paddle would have to work too hard, and the motor would burn out
Have you tried making pizza dough by handIt's very easy, takes no time to do, and you can gauge the amount of liquid needed

Zippychick - I measured everything to the letter because I know you have to with BM's or it can have disastrous results, never tried pizza dough by hand, sounds complicated.
Penguin - Thanks for that, will try it again tomorrow will less water and see what happens but in the meantime am gonna put it in the oven right now so will update you xx:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

By hand - Penny is right! It is easy peasy. I started out by machine in Feb this year with a BM and now make dough and bread by hand. Much simpler list of ingredients usually and if you try it out by hand you will wonder what the fuss is about, honestly. There are plenty of threads here with step by step guides.

Thanks so much, I put it in with chicken, cheese, red yellow n green peppers n it tastes lovely although I only had a wee taste as I am stuffed from dinner, do you think it would be ok to freeze now its cooked? It rose even more in the oven so I would prob use less next time, gonna have a look at that thread now as the clean up process after that lot was horrible (and that was just my hands lol):TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

I roll mine out and par-bake them then freeze for future use.
I bake them for about 3 minutes in a hot oven, then turn them over and bake for another 3 mins or thereabouts. I usually put them on the slotted tray thing that came with my grillpan. This has the same effect as one of those special pizza tray things. When cool I wrap in foil or put in a plastic bag. Can cook from frozen or defrost. Easier to handle into the oven when frozen!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
