I'm waiting for my pizza dough to finish in my breadmaker and i was just about to start making my tomato sauce when ive realised i dont have any tomato puree left! doh!

Can i put the dough in the fridge and use it 2moro? I dont have any clingfilm or anything either, just checked.
I guess it will dry out?

    Thanks

If the outside dries out then you can just re-knead.

  • Oil the pyrex dish and it should be fine!

We make double pizza dough and leave one in the fridge for upto a week, it's nicer when left in my opinion.

I always make up enough for about 4 pizza meals and then freeze the dough. I take it out the morning of the day I want to use and leave it to rise again, then roll it out when I get home from work. This works fine!

You can use passata instead of puree - or boil down some chopped toms.
