HI, just thought i'd drop you a line, to let you know, i love reading your diary, :D your diary & BBAM's diaries are great:D, you should both be very pleased with yourselves, your doing great and just thought i'd let you know it:T:T so keep up the good work, and i look forward to reading more, take care, Donna:beer:

Hi there - thank you for that, I didn't think anyone really read this, but fab to know I'm not waffling to myself:D Benben's was the very first diary I found on here, back in May, and it inspired me to get more organised and cut the spending right back. I think I spent hours on here reading the whole of her 1st diary!!
I also find posting on here just helps me keep on the right tracks, I'd be lost without this website and forum. I was a hopeless spender this time last year, with no idea of what direct debits I had, when they went out, or what my bank balance was. I now know exactly what I have in the bank and what payments will be coming out!!
I think my home life is a lot better now. After we moved in June I've been very good ad keeping tidy, clean and just generally organised....something I never thought I'd say about myself!!!

Anyway, I've rambled a tad.....;) Keep posting here, makes me feel I'm not alone :o (keep me on the straight and narrow!!)

    Hello all.
Another cold day here, but heating off now, the house seems to have warmed up well this evening!
I've spent £10 today in T's/Co-op and got a lot for my money - loads of co-op stuff was reduced. Was going just for bread and milk, but stocked up on cheap cupboard stuff too. That'll be all food-wise til I nip to T's on Sunday and hopefully that won't be a huge one. Still well stocked up with choc bars, biscuits, snacks, crisps etc.

Was going to call in an NSD, but it didt feel right as I did spend £10, even if it is included in my grocery budget:confused: Then I bought a night cream off ebay (bargain, only £4) so that def ruled out the NSD! Tomorrow will be an NSD though and I'm in two minds about Friday as we usually go to the pub at lunchtime, just for a baguette and a coke, but it comes to £7. Not a lot, but that's £28 a month!! But if I don't go, then I'll be sat on my own in the staff room;) So I can't decide! Not as if I spend a penny on myself during the week, and I'm on my own this weekend as girls with their dear father, so Sat will prob be an NSD then SUn I'll only go to Tesco! Oh decisions decisions......:o

Anyway, off to watch Anne Frank with a coffee then Waterloo Rd at 8, we love that:D

Very excited as my TC go in tomorrow and will transfer them to my new spending current account - it hasn't been used yet!! Looking forward to the end of the month when I can see what's left in that account. My regular account will have all the HB/CB/wages go in and that's the rigth amount to pay my rent/dds. So hopefully this'll work really well:beer:

Oops sorry milly im stealing your diary, i'll push off now:rotfl::silenced:

NSD no.5 today....I'm gettin into this not-spending thing;)

Also had a letter from Lloyds today to say they're sorry I'm not happy about the PPI and they're looking into it, I should hear back very soon......fingers crossed:j
Just doing dinner now, mince out of the freezer is now Spag Bol. Lunch was a dull roll out of the freezer too, but with yummy Xmas brie leftover...very nice.

Decided not to go to the pub tomorrow with work friends for lunch, luckily my friend also doesn't want to go as she's back with WW, so we can sit in staff room with our highly exciting lunches together:p (Saving me £7 too!!!)

Going to have a lovely quiet weekend on my own - need to start a list of things to do to keep me focussed! Must must do some college wrok as my tutor wants a tutorial with me a week on Monday:eek: I want to do another course in Oct but not sure....do I go for Foundation degree in Supporting Learning or an OU similar course:confused: Hmmmmmmmmmm......

  • Let's hope Lloyds bring back positive news on the PPI. I'm a list-o-maniac! Without them I'm lost, but keeping up with them is a job in itself! I've actually lost my flash drive this morning & I'm lost doing anything without it! Need to hunt. :D

    Well done on the NSD's!

Another NSD - I did buy some chicken but it's out of the grocery budget as T's didn't have any when my delivered shopping came last week. I bought a pack to feed us tonight and next Friday night. I resisted anything else in the co-op, I'll go and do a proper shop on Sun, that'll be all from my meal planner and list;)

Home form work early on a Fri - I finish at 2.30, so an empty house:p E will be in soon though, friend dropping her home and G in about 4. Really looking forward to a quiet relaxing weekend as girls with their dad. I want to get a list of things to do done so I don't forget anything. E's given me a pile of DS games to sell for her so will do that and must dig out some bits of mine. I signed up to the summer sizzler challenge, but so far all I've made is the £1-something interest on my bank acc and the PS2 game on Amazon!!! Note to self.....must try harder:rolleyes:

Daily scratchcard was cool..... £1 for logging in and won 20p:T That account is on £5.10 already, only signed up around new year....not bad.

Right, off to check online banking (looking ok I think) and tidy up a bit to warm myself up!!)

Since the girls went out at 2 I've been busy - house is looking a lot better now, just need to attack the kitchen.

I ruined my NSD by topping up E's phone grrrrr:mad: But neither of girls had any credit and she likes to text me while she's at her dad's so I put £10 on it and I did use a new sim card I had that gives her unlimited texts for £10 top up which is fab...sh can text all she likes now;) But apart from that I've spent nothing....cupboards and fridge looking a little bare but that's good, get rid of stuff that had been knocking about and will nip to T's tomorrow. Might go and do my meal plan/shopping list now. Online banking looks fine still, my account has hardly changed all week, it's fab:D I have my HB and CB going to my main account then all rent and dds come out of that. My new account has Tax Credits going in weekly which I use for spending and then can see any extra I have easily. Hopefully I'll have a bit by the end of the month...mind you all girls' clubs are due in the next 2 weeks....about £170 in total so there may not be too much extra this month:eek:
