Went to the sky site, nothing for me, but it does let you sign up which I think is a cool thing for an employer to do - you leave your cv there for them to see.
OH just said letter came from council tax - £135 a month!! Surely that can't be right?
I looked it up & our flat is band A? Asked a few folk in here who thought it would be around £100.
Also, can't help but notice a lot of posts with similar subjects to mine lately.
Anyone else think Britain is just FUBAR?0 -
What about O2 for jobs Brody? And I agree, Britain is FUBAR, thats why I want to clear debt and get the hell out!!! ;-)0

No it doesn't sound right. Try http://www.saa.gov.uk/
and type in your postcode. This will give you the exact figure. Band A for Glasgow is something like 808.67 for the year.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -
Brody just a thought, do the council want £135 because its more than one month's payment? If I remember correctly my first payment on my place was aboput 6 weeks worth. Worth nagging them and checking when they class you as moving into the property. I remember you saying it wasn't habitable at first. They can't charge you full tax if you haven't moved in.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Hey
Try to keep your chin up, you will get through this tricky time and you will always find sound advice and support here.
There are loads of call center jobs in Glasgow just go to S1 jobs or do a tour of the agencies. In your SOA it says you have two cars could you not sell one? Just for a while you could pick up some bar work too the Unis go back soon so they will be recruiting bar/club staff. A second job would give you that extra money you need and stop you spending! Good luck.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Hi Brody77, I noticed on your SOA that you have one entry for income and yet, previously you indicated that your OH is currently on half pay due to maternity. Did you include that money in the value you posted for the main income?
If not, could some of that money be apportioned to the debt repayment. I'm just concious that you may well be carrying the burden for the household bills, whilst doing a job you don't like, whilst also paying for a debt that was attributed to your Father's business and whilst your OH uses her maternity money as she sees fit. Obviously I could be completely wrong and apologise if that is the case. I guess I'm just thinking out loud...0 -
