Hi Brody,
I think you could get another job, with more cash easily. Check the enclosed link, in particular the position in Wellhouse for the clerical assistant with good communications skills. A good work place to get into, as they have better pay grades and benefits with a lot more room to self promote. http://www.evh.org.uk/content/default.asp?page=s4_60 -
Just wanted to say hi as you seem to having a hard time of it at the mo. Any chance of getting the child benefit sorted? That might ease the immediate cash-flow crisis.Debt at highest Nov '06 £17,822.98
Debt at LBM Nov '07 £14,231.63
DEBT FREE as of 01/01/09 now I have savings!!0 -

Another on the "list of things to be discussed".
OH was supposed to be sorting it out, gave her my p60 to arrange.0 -
Glad you've made a start on that, it will make everything a bit easier for you.
Are you getting on any better? I think you really have to tell her that if you can't sort this out between you then you don't see a future together, because if she doesn't know how bad it is and you split she might come over all 'if he'd given me a chance to help I would have', and try to blame you. If she knows this is make or break and still doesn't pull her weight in trying to sort it out (and I know it must be difficult with a new baby - but you've got that too), then at least you'll know you truly tried before splitting up.
Just my two penneth worth, by all means tell me to shut up. I just don't want this to come as a surprise to her (especially as she may then have debt + baby + single life to cope with).Debt at highest Nov '06 £17,822.98

Does your OH realise how you're feeling? Does she have any debts? Just a thought. Or is she feeling a bit down (I'm not medically minded but maybe PND or just feeling like things are getting on top of her and not wanting to do anything?).CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Hi Brody,
There's nothing worse than being in a job you hate - 25% of your week is spent there and so it has to be right otherwise you go out of your tree!
Have you considered enrolling with a temping agency? If you do callcentre stuff, there's loads of temporary positions that arise through people taking maternity / holidays. You'd be able to do simple office stuff - photocopying, filing, answering calls etc. Quite often, if you show aptitude and diligence, a company will take you on - hey presto - a new job!
I admit you might have to take a pay cut at first but at least you'd be getting up in the morning without dreading the day. This will give you the strength to face the other issues in your life that need resolving. You'll be less stressed and you'll have one less burden in your life albeit a non-monetary one.
Good luck my friend!

Brody since you work for the 'other side' why not try Sky? They're always looking for people and do have offices in Glasgow.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Any idea where I'd find vacancies?
They don't seem to be on the job sites?0 -
Hi Brody77 - sorry I don't have much to add unfortunately, I've found the following link that may be of interest.
http://jobs.sky.com/
Please do sit down and talk with your OH. Perhaps your OHs mum can look after the baby while you both have a chat about things. She is probably bottling things up the same as you.
Maybe you also need to focus on you little and what makes you happy. At the beginning of the thread you indicated that you don't go out that much. I find that doing some exercise is a great way of making you feel alive again. You've got some great scenery in Scotland - perhaps the three of you go out for a walk in the countryside and take a small picnic (looking at the weather forecast, I don't recommend doing it this weekend). I find it helpful to have something to look forward to - it doesn't have to be expensive - sometimes the simple things are the most enjoyable.
Keep posting anyway, hopefully some of the tips you get on this site will be useful.0 -

Looks like epsilondraconis beat me to it. They very rarely advertise on the job sites, same with some other companies so worth a trawl on the internet and look at companies actual sites as some companies prefer people who come to them. I hope everything works out with your OH.
