Yeh I'd read it, I was still a little perplexed. However (another) question, if you get to the screen and initial after reading the T&Cs, and you click through and they find you one at the price you've said that's it yes? You must pay?
Yes
So DOUBLE check everything before you click "Buy"
Assuming you have done some research what price are you bidding and what hotel do you expect to be given (if you win?)0 -

Yes, looked on The Bidding Traveller, and converted $-£, the only problem is that there are an abundance of 4* hotels in one of the areas I'm looking at. I'm thinking of bidding £45/night, although I think this is possibly a bit on the high side?. The most likely options are the Hilton, Nikko Hotel SF or the Hyatt Regency.0 -

Sounds like you've done the research, go for it!0 -
Hello,
I am new to these forums so please be nice
I am heading on a 3 month tour of America from September and am loving all the moneysavings tips I am finding.
I do have a question about priceline which is about the bedroom:
I am going with a friend and we do not particularly want to share a bed! So when it says number of rooms, I am unsure as to whether to put 1 or 2? I am looking first of all in New York if that makes a difference.
Thansk in advance!

You can not specify bedding requirements on Priceline. They only guarantee a room for two adults.
The bedding requirements are determined by the hotel and usually on check in.
So either email the hotels with your requirements once you've won them or check in early.
Still no guarantees though.
Use pillows to separate you two if necessary or buy two rooms! (which TBHO is overkill)0 -
Hi, just found priceline and tried to make a bid. When I get to the page where I have to fill my details i,n I cannot seem to as it asks to select a country but the only options I get are US and Canada. So it then says the rest of my details don't match and I cannot seem to get beyond this. Can anyone help please?0

Hello, just tried to use Priceline for the 1st time to book my Honeymoon in Vegas. The name your price option only had a choice of US and Canada addresses so I clicked for live chat support and the customer service person (Kelby) told me that I can only use the bidding option with an American address and credit card. She said it has always been this way, am I doing something wrong?0

Yes
You've not looked at the second post of this thread where you will find a link to a superb articleabout how to use Priceline
BTW
Vegas is one of the few places that Priceline may NOT get you a bargain.
Look at the Vegas thread for good info.0 -
Hi,
I've just used Priceline.co.uk for the first time (after seeking the advice on MSE) and I've booked a hotel in New York for 7 nights (The New York Helmsley Hotel 3.5 star) for £518 (direct price with hotel is £2118 & average price on other sites is £2000!!!) I've emailed the hotel to confirm my booking but not had a reply as yet - how long it is between booking through Priceline to the hotel having your reservation details?? Due to the HUGE saving (£1600!!) - I'm dubious if this is the real deal and that I'm not being scammed!!! Would someone please put my mind at ease!!!!0
