How do I book a family holiday for 4 i.e. 2 adults and 2 teenagers, as no option to specify on bid form.

    You should use HOTWIRE

(or bid for two rooms on PL)

Also how do you guarantee if you also want breakfast, internet and parking as part of the package, as additional costs are normally quite a lot.

    You can't guarantee these "options".

Any tip or advise would be appreciated, thanks.

    Have you read my guide?

Where are you hoping to go?

I am currently trying to find a reasonable priced but decent hotel for a trip for me and my 2 teenage children so have read this article and thread with interest. Can I just check though whether it is possible to request a room for 3. If that's the case is it possible to use this for the booking that I need or will I have to go back to the normal comaprison sites?
    Any help and advice welcome
    Thanks

No you cannot request a room for 3 using Priceline.

However it depends where you are going as to what occupancy level the room has that you actually win.

Hotwire is the site to use for guaranteed occupancy levels above 2.

    Where are you going?

Whilst I'm on, here's some updated and interesting news about web-sites that help with Priceline Bidding ;)

The guys from Flyertalk have put together a site called the Bidding Traveller, which, by the looks of it takes all the hassle and unknowns out of bidding on Priceline :D

Worth looking at and even bidding through IMHO.

No I am not affiliated to their site ;)
  • How does Priceline work if I was looking to stay somewhere like the Hotel Intercontinental Singapore or the Hilton Singapore or the Novotel Singapore as I'm not too sure how the zones thing work for Singapore...

  • blindman, thanks for the link you posted. I'll definitely be using it as a reference when booking a hotel room in Singapore.

    Hi there,

I've got a cancellable hotel for San Francisco for a week (9th Aug-16th) at the moment, but having read the reviews it doesn't seem great - I looked at priceline.co.uk and I just wanted to know when you get to the initialled part whether or not that is you agreeing to use the hotel given to you? If I click next, they'll ask for the money immediately, provided we can get a match?

Slightly pedantic but it is when you click on "Buy my hotel room" on the next page you get charged for whatever hotel they find for the price.
If we find a hotel that accepts your price, we'll immediately purchase your hotel rooms on the credit/debit card you provided to us. Please note, you will not be provided with a list of hotel options. Please remember, once you click "Book My Hotel Room" your request cannot be changed, cancelled, or transferred and refunds are not allowed

If your price is not accepted, we will stop our search and your credit/debit card will not be charged
I take it you've read my guide?

Yeh I'd read it, I was still a little perplexed. However (another) question, if you get to the screen and initial after reading the T&Cs, and you click through and they find you one at the price you've said that's it yes? You must pay?
