Hi all,
This is going to be short, as I feel totally cr*p today. Last night's outing was extremely tiring, and I feel stressed out and more than a little dizzy now. :lipsrseal Not agreeing to that again, that's for sure.
Snowyowl I haven't set foot in a hairdressers in about 25 years - I have the same phobia about them that most folks reserve for the dentist.
Ok, I'm gonna sign off now, as I don't want this to sound like a whingefest.
Be well folks, or as well as you can be.:AIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all!
My flat sounds just like yours Rzl!! Or did as today was blitz day!!
Just had to post as I am very proud of myself that I cleaned my oven today!!! :rotfl:
I have also made a lovely soup out of some manky celery at the bottom of my fridge! 2 portions too! Perhaps though I did too much of a shake of chilli! Very nice though.
I'm sure if my flat could speak it would say "cor blimey what's wrong with 'er today!!!"
Tomorrow evening is my awards evening for passing my Access course at college, so I am now DEFINITELY going to uni!! Yay!!!
Hope you are all well, (((hugs))) to you all!

Have missed Aussie,, is she not well,, or has she gone walkabout
Hi Kaat,
I know she wasn't feeling very well earlier in the week, so maybe she's not right yet?
Afternoon all, (((((hugs))))) to all those needing them - can't remember much. Although feeling far better than I was, still not quite "all there" yet, lol and still off my food. Hopefully I'll have lost a few pounds!
Betheebee, so glad you have some good news among the not so good.
Snowy, sounds like a big transformation - and good decision on the job from the sounds of it.
Ivyleaf, I would be utterly lost without my dishwasher, only had it a few months now but I love it
Triggles, can't you buy those icing bag/nozzle kits from Asda/Tesco??
Welcome to newbies, sorry to anyone I've forgotten.
HOpefully catch up tomorrow when I feel more "with it"Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
Afternoon all, have managed to reduce the ironing mountain, put up a new curtain pole in twin bedroom, vacumed and emptyed DW.
Having Toulouse sausage, mash and curly Kale for dinns. Have lentils soaking for soup tomorrow. Stardrops worked wonders on the kitchen floor.
BARGAIN RZL, DD2 will be 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow, so no, she is not past the danger point yet. Perminent fingers crossed !! Another concern is that SoniL is a twin. His twin sister had twins 1 year ago. More finger crossing.
I thank each and everyone of you lovely friends that have sent congrats and good wishes. You really are great friends. :A0 -
Good afternoon
Not long home after a hectic day at work [strike]trawling the forums for about 4 hours[/strike]. Made a discovery today following a post I was able to do on Greenfingered. Since getting my work computer replaced 3 weeks ago it looks like I can thank folk and post without things looking like gobbliegook! However, it wouldn't let me see Snowy the rampant guineapig!
Welcome to new folk - it is always good to see you here. Chrisca - so sorry things are dragging on for you at such a difficult time. PenPin - glad things seem a bit better today.
Kaat when I caught up with you today I was at work in the Pans - so you are a Panner are you? Top or bottom?
Snowy you are probably right about cancelling interview. Too far to travel. My son lives near Drogheda and has about a 45 minute commute to Dublin and the roads are so busy in that area. Once you hit near Swords things get hairy in the rush hours.
Well, twink - hope you feel like royalty! What a lovely mention!
Must get some washing on this evening and I might start planting up my plants which I got yesterday. However, this strong wind means I am going to have to go out and water pots really well again.
Love and hugs to those who are a bit poorly or things not going too well for them and theirs.

ps DG - you worry me about your fixation with weather sites. Can you do a long range forecast for me for West of Ireland from 8th August please (this should include first part of holiday being just north of Dublin!) I want sea state etc for the ferry crossing to Belfast!!!!!!!!0 -
Betheebee - sorry, meant to mention you too. What absolutely wonderful news. Extra special as it could have been so hit or miss for them.
Mol - interesting that you go quiet once DH home and you hit the bevvy! Methinks a bit like me and the loft!!!!!

Gosh Betheebee - early days but I am sure all will be well. Twins eh? Could be interesting!

PurpleP - congrats on your course - what an achievement and being able to go to uni. I remember how chuffed I was when doing an 2 year HNC in my mid forties (having come out of formal education at 16) and getting merits. It was hard though but I had my day when I was able to graduate with the gown (my photo was in the local paper - cringe). DH was so proud of me and without him proof reading all my assignments would probably not have done it so well.
Enjoy the ceremony.

Back again,:D
Its been a beautiful day here, really sunny, cleaned the downstairs windows at the back, then I washed everything in sight (well almost) the WM has been flat out most of the day.... just thought of the ironing..... ah well never mind, I`ll watch a film on TV and it will be done in no timebut that is tomorrows job.
We spent a few hours in the garden and ended up with 6 green bags for the bin men next week.
Dinner is chicken, veg and little pots, fruit for pud.
Then shower and off to friends for a few hours for nibbles and natter.... must remember the wine.....I better do myself a note and put it on the front door(yes really) or I will forget it.
She always tells me not to bother but I dont feel right if I dont take something.
Better go and get the last of the washing in before dinner.
Have a good evening everybody:T

Hi Pippa
I always have to do postits on the front door! We once got 10 miles down the road on Christmas Day to DDs to remember I had forgotten the pudding from the fridge, DH was not a happy chappie having to turn round! However, it was fortunate because we were babysitting next door's cat and he had got shut in while we were obviously loading the car with boys' pressies etc. Can you imagine what we would have come back to on Boxing Day??????????????
