Good morning!
It's a nice morning here, so my list of things to do will have to include laundry. Think I'll be spending some time this afternoon sorting through some stuff for evay, taking pictures, and getting ready to list the items. It's always a relief to actually get things sorted and listed - that's the worst part, IMO. We got some wallpaper stripped yesterday and are hoping to get some painting done this weekend. Actually doing a lot of DIY this weekend, so I'm trying to get other things done during the week while I can. But coming off being ill (plus being anaemic), I get tired quite easily, so I really have to push myself to get things done right now.
Money is quite tight right now, as we were hit with a few unexpected expenses since the move, so when I'm resting, I'll have to browse the "make £10 a day" and get some ideas.
Happy Wednesday - halfway through to the weekend!!!MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
Washing machine has just finished so need to hang out the washing, then load up the dishwasher and tidy kitchen surfaces.
Have decided that I really need to tackle my weight so am going to try a low carb diet but with plenty of veg and some fruit.
Am going to meet DD(22) in Manchester on Friday as she has a job interview and thought it woul be nice to have a bite to eat and wish her luck.
Have ordered her some GHD salon straighteners with a free heat mat and protecting serum. They should arrive tomorrow so will take them with me as an early birthday present.
DH has found a garage near us that he can rent so wants to remove all the stuff we have in storage in a lock up to the garage. Moving all that stuff should really be fun!!!
Hugs to everyone having a bad time especially candygirl, smokey, Hester, anniebooklover, Betheebee, Penny Pincher and Chrisca.
Just going to do a quick tidy and try to look as if I have been slaving away all day!"This site is addictive!"

Morning everyone
Well, I did it! I cancelled the interview I had scheduled for this afternoon - I know some of you will think I'm a nutcase on the loose, but it was simply too meagrely paid for the hour and a half drive to it. I really would have been time richer and cash richer if I had stayed at the supermarket - and that doesn't make sense. I can do a lot better than that! I have quite a few things in the pipeline right now, so with a bit of luck and perseverence I'll get something a bit more fruitful.
Kaat_Lady - naughty Sooty!! LOL that really did make me go :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Randy little beast!!
Ivyleaf - well done on acquiring a dishwasher. I have one - OK so I am a right lazy cow as I live alone - but I just love it. It doesn't use up too much electricity either, and I run mine about twice a week. You'll love yours, it's lovely just to put your cups and plates in and close the door.
Pink.1970 - I don't know of any DVD's for Pilates, but maybe your library might have some? Or even the charity shops and/or car boot sales? It might be worth going to a couple of classes - OK they are quite pricey - but having someone trained watch you and correct any mistakes is worth every penny. Then once you've got the hang of it you can go it alone.
Hello Icka - lovely to meet you!
Where's AnnieStar? I want to find out how Phoebe is getting on.
I've a hair dresser appointment at 11.30 am. Going to get about 12 inches off my barnet - yes, it's that long but looks like a crow's nest so it's got to go!!
I'll be back later after I've been glamourised.
Bye.

Afternoon all,
Cloudy here and OH is so cold that I have turned on the heat...there was a time I would just say...put on a hat but now I panic...even with a jumper on, his face and hands feel as if he had just come in out of the snow!
Doing carbonara for dinner, will give OH a piece of steak with his as he likes his steak...should really cut it down I suppose but I am not going to be the one to tell him!
So many people seem to be in trouble at the moment, illness, bereavement, family illness and unemployment that I think a blanket hug to all is appropriate.
Chrisca, so sorry that you are having so much strife, I know that you have different laws than we do here, funeral here is usually 2 or at most 3 days after death, which means that there is some element of closure quite early on...my thoughts are with you
Not doing much to-day, just not in the humour....hope that everyone has a good day...welcome icka, you will like it here

Snowy - good decision, really. Longer commutes often become tiresome and aggravating - at least they did for me when I had one! I spent most of the drive thinking "I could be doing this or that instead of wasting all this time driving every day!" I just reached a point where I dreaded the commute! And the expense was astronomical!!
I've found my recipe (finally) from my aunt for a lovely decorating frosting for DS's birthday cake for next week. Now I just need an icing piping kit - one with the icing bags and decorator end caps - I am loathe to pay £10.99 at Lakeland for it. Anyone know where I can get one that is decent that is less expensive??MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
Afternoon Guys!
Im feeling a little better today, but thanks for the support and I apologise for my cursing last night:o
OH is feeling a bit better today which I am pleased about.
WM has been on and hung on the line. DW on and emptied...I love the new rapid function I found-it takes just 15mins and cleans very well. House is generally clean and tidy and just getting the last bits together for the holiday.
Have the paid the Mastercard and Visa bill in full and have saved £250 for the week away. It seems alot but this includes diesel, food etc for the week and will give DD £20. I have googled some places to visit that are cheap of Free but there is only about 3 days where we are not doing anything as we are visiting friends as well. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can go to the beach with a picnic and flask:D
Anyway, I had better go and have some lunch as my tummy is rumbling.
Hugs to all.
