OS Daily Wed 16th July 08

This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

    Morning all
Cloudy here again today, but it should clear later on. Work is manic, people are panicking about the new head & all the faculties want work doing for September, the problem is they don't seem to realise that means I have to do it by a week today, I working some of the holidays but that time is already allocated to certain jobs.
Carbonara for tea tonight, BIL is going to see the surgeon today about his hand so we will find out soon what's happening, if it needs surgery & is out of action for 6 weeks, he won't be able to move out as he'll have no money to pay his rent with, oh well, we'll see.
    Have a good day
    Hugs Hester

    Morning Everyone

Welcome Icka - and all other newbies and nearly newbies I forgot.

Line still being a PINA, speed this morning worse than ever, another time will be fine:mad: .

Sunshine and cloud forecast here today with a top temperature of 25 degrees so god for working today. I have found another weather site - I know I am addicted. It really is supposed to be a wind forecast, but works well for weather too. http://www.xcweather.co.uk/
if you click on an arrow or dot near to where you are or are going to it shows the name (so you can confirm your geography) and also the wind speed, but if you hold the mouse over that and click then it shows the weather in 2 hourly slots, so you can plan your day if you need to go out and not get wet? Still improving this site so may be more options later.

Well better not take over M-ing - but she is busy atm IYKWIM ;);):D
((((hugs)))) to all who'd like one.
    Take care - DG

Nice and cloudy at the moment. Perfect for my trip into town. I always walk and the last few days have been far too hot for my taste so I've stayed in. Its not fair to stick trouble in her chair when its hot for nearly 2 hours. OH surprised me by doing the washing up this am. Was expecting to do it myself, but hey...bonus.

No washing to do at the moment.

Still on the trawl for a playhouse. May have found one but OH is insisting we go and have a look at some rather than just buy the one off the net that I've seen. Men hey.

I am planning to see if I can find Lily some more toys. THe ones she has are getting a little young for her. She doesn't need much just some pots and spoons to be honest. Hopefully I'll find something today.

Hugs to those that need them.

    Good Morning All

    Welcome Icka

(((hugs))) to anyone who needs one.

Cloudy here at the moment but the forcast is good - more washing to do.

Other than than - Tai Chi this morning, need to pop into local hosp to drop off OH's sample to make sure he is healthy for his op next week. Will have a look into the butchers near where I do Tai Chi and see if they do cheap free range eggs.

This afternoon will be office work then ironing. Roast chicken for tea tonight. Need to get OH to dig up some more potatos but do need to go out and get some other veg, farm shop isnt open today so will try a little greengrocers in another village.

    Have a lovely day all.

Hi all - woke up slightly later than usual due to sinking a lovel Chardonnay last night that DH brought back from France!

Have lots of chores to do today and a DGS to collect from school this afternoon so I think it will be another manic day. It doesn't look as if DH will be back at work until next week so I have less 'me' time at the moment!

((Hugs))) to Smoky, PenPin, Mrs Mix, Chrisca, Candygirl and her Dad, Beth and her DBs, Jayward and anyone else who needs one.

    Churchmouse - :hello: :hello: :hello:

    Welcome to all newbies, too.

It looks like a lovely day here so fingers crossed that we all get some sun today.

Will try and keep up with the thread!

    See you all later.
