    Afternoon everyone :hello:

Congratulations to Beth and family. :j  :T
Well done on the hobnobs in the email twink. :T
Hope DH gets on top of his diet soon Ivyleaf.
    Thinking of you Chrisca. x
Sounds like you did the right thing with the interview Snowy.
Anniebooklover. If you're going to Islay you'll be driving past my house so be sure to wave. :p :hello:
    Where is the Aussie one???
Catznine your blog is great. My salad has done really well this year too and I'm delighted with my brocolli which is ready to pick. Also picked some celery this morning to make soup for tommorrow. Just wish some of the tomatoes would ripen.

Just myself and dtwin1 at home today. Dtwin2 has gone to "help" her daddy in the office. ;)
It's actually lovely to get some time with her sister as she is the shyer of the 2 and really comes out of her shell when she's not competeing for attention. ;)

So far my little helper and I have made the beds, hoovered, emptied the DW, hung out the washing and tidied up. Because we also did 2 loads of washing and washed the car it is now pouring out of the heavens. So we're going to have some lunch and watch Grease on DVD. :o

She is helping me make Carbonara for tea (is everyone on here having that tonight? ) and we may go to the cinema to see Mamma Mia with a friend and her girls tonight.

    Hope everyone is well

    Haribo x

    Hello everyone

I've been shorn! My barnet went from looking like a frizzier version of this:

    http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2312/2183674751_1582f5d40f.jpg?v=0

to resembling something more like this:

When I left it looked like there was a big hairy dog sleeping on the floor:rotfl:

It only cost £16 as well - BARGAIN!!

    Afternoon peeps
just a quickie from moi, i`ve just skimmed the thread to catch up.
I`ve been in the garden all morning and i have to leave for w*rk in ten minutes:eek:
Both the houndies have been walked, they saw an awful lot of other houndies to play with this morning in the park, there were 9 others out:D so they all enjoyed thmselves.
The weather has been great this morning, hence me outside taking advantage but it`s going dark now so i`ll not be surprised if we get some rain later.

Snowyowl - bet your hair feels great, mines the longest it`s been for over ten years lol and i`m toying with the idea of short hair again. Don`t know if i`m brave enough yet though :D

    Better get a move on.
Catch up later and ((((HUGS)))) for all.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

hmmmm, today I am paying for all yesterdays exersion (sp)!!!

But at least I have home baking and food in teh fridge to see me through :D

Redruby's corgette cake is very yummy - i really recommend it. It's got a tasty savoury touch to it which DH and I love. I can see now why you give the quantities for baking two at a time! Unfortunately I only have one loaf tin, so may have to invest in another :D I find TK MAXX is great for all my baking tin needs.

So nothing much happening today/this evening which is nice. Mum called earlier to let me know that my youngest sister is coming to stay with us next week. She's 17 and looking forward to being in a city. I've promised to take her shopping and think we'll ahve a lovely week together.

Mioliere how is the wedding count down going? did your DH's tie arrive?

right - off to make some lunch. I'm thinking boiled egg on toast :D

    Good afternoon everybody :hello:

betheebee - that's fantastic news about DD2 - is she beyond the "danger point"?
    Chrisca - ((((hugs))))
ivyleaf - you won't regret the dishwasher! I wouldn't be without mine.
SnowyOwl - sounds like a good decision re the interview. One of the reasons I have been working here so long is that it's dead easy and cheap to get here from home. If I worked further from home (that is, needing to use the tube regularly rather than just the bus) I would need to be getting paid at least an additional £500 per annum just to break even on travel costs. IMHO it's not worth putting yourself out of pocket for commuting costs unless the job is going to lead to seriously big things in the future. Haircut sounds fab by the way. Must get mine done...

Still got a rotten cold, plus hayfever, so I'm sure my colleagues are just loving my constant coughing and sneezing

I have been a bit busy lately, have fallen off the OS wagon, and you should see the state of my flat. On second thoughts I'm glad you can't! I can barely get INTO the kitchen to sort it out... bearing in mind my kitchen is an area at one end of my living room. The floor is covered in shopping bags full of non-perishable items I've got no space for, the ironing board is in the way of the dishwasher, and the sink is full of tins and bottles which need to be rinsed and taken out to the recycling place. Anyway, last night I FINALLY cleared a to do list of admin and paperworky type things, so tonight I have nothing of a higher priority than tidying and cleaning the kitchen! Bathroom needs doing too. I am hoping that once I get started I'll be on a roll and won't want to stop, which is what usually happens. It's getting my bum in gear to get cracking with it in the first place that usually defeats me.

Thanks to my customary lack of self-control in the presence of yellow-stickered bargains, my freezer is so overfull that there's no space in it to put the results of my batch cooking efforts :o so I mustn't do any batch cooking over the next couple of days - I need to work out which items can be defrosted and cooked first without resulting in five portions of stuff to be re-frozen!

And somehow I STILL manage to run out of essentials! Trip to Aldi is required urgently as I'm out of tinned tomatoes...

Need to get onto Thames Water at some point, too - bills are normally six-monthly but I haven't had one since December  and while it's obviously nice not to have had to pay it yet, I don't like knowing I owe money. Plus I am hoping it may have come in under budget which would mean another few quid to be siphoned off into the savings :)

So - disorder rules OK in the Rzl household, but hopefully not for much longer!

Hugs to all who need them!

    Love Rzl xx

    Hello again

Well, I managed to survive w**k and only had to do 1/2 hour of overtime. Still feel a bit rubbish though so haven't had any lunch.

betheebee Wonderful news! We will all be keeping our fingers crossed for your DD.
Snowy The haircut sounds fab! I've made an appointment to have my hair cut the day we come back from our hols. DD has been nagging me as she wants her hair cut *really* short (I mean army type short! ) so I have agreed that we will both get our hair cut quite a bit shorter. Just not sure how brave I will be when it actually comes to putting scissors to hair. :o
Haribo we are flying to Islay from Glasgow (:o not very carbon footprint-friendly I know). Are you on the flight path? I can wave to you from the sky if you like.
twink Now that you are famous, you will remember all us non-entities here on the OS board, won't you? :D Well done on spreading the "twinks" joy.

I can't face food at the moment so I'm going to break all the OS rules. I'm going to get a takeaway for DS and DD tonight as I don't have any HM meals in the freezer. Please don't shout at me for that. xx
