Morning all
Am still in limbo re organising mum's funeral. Doc who last saw her wasn't available on Monday to sign the death certificate, so I can go and collect it today instead. Also, I didn't realise that you had to make an appointment to register her death and because of UNISON action I can't get an appointment until tomorrow at 1.15pm so that's another day nearly wasted. I hope to be able to organise the funeral tomorrow but thats nearly a week since she died. Hope to get time to have a bit of a clear out of mum's flat today too. Haven't notified Council that she had died yet so maybe that will give us a few days grace, will try and contact a house clearance company today. Anyone know how they work? I presume they charge to take stuff away but pay for any items worth selling on. Also will try to finish the list of people to inform (gas electric etc) of her death as haven't had the get up and go to do it as yet.
Hugs to everyone and thanks for your continued good wishes0 -

Edited to say, crossed with Chrisca. Sorry you have having such a problem registering your Mum's death. When my Dad died, we informed the housing association and we had a month to clear the flat. There were lots of smiles and tears when we did that, so hope you have someone who can help. I think Age Concern or Help the Aged will probably be able to give you lots of advice, so it might be worth giving them a call.

Good morning everyone and welcome to Icka
Chrisca sorry things aren't going smoothly for you. ((hugs))
((hugs)) also to those who need them - you know who you are.
It was my one day off yesterday and I spent it being very poorly with an horrendous v&d bug. _pale_ I haven't felt that ill in a very, very long time.
I feel as though the day was a complete waste as I was fit for nothing. I had planned to get organised for our holiday - we leave Friday lunchtime - but that didn't happen so I will just have to try and fit everything around w**king and the school run. Oh well.
I haven't read yesterday's threads so apologies if I have missed anyone or anything out.
Have a wonderful Wednesday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Good morning everyone  Beautiful day, and my children are off school due to the strike :j They have a plan of work to do, but if they're efficient with getting it done, it'll all be finished today, and we can go out tomorrow :j :j :j
I have some rhubarb to make more jam, and the sour cherries are ripening. I'm picking them twice a day (and freezing) to get ahead of the birds  That'll be jam, and I'll make some into a coulis to pour over ice cream.
Might barbeque for tea, or spag bol. I'll be baking today - cakes, fork biscuits, and Chelsea buns :T
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Morning all,
Have a mountain of ironing to do after all hols clothes washed and dried on the line. BM on, DH has a Drs appontment, he gets his blood tests results re his bones.
DD2 came around yesterday with news that she is pregnant, we have been worried as she has suffered from endometriosis. She was told there was a possability that due to 2 ops she may not be able to have kids. So so happy we were hugging and crying and jumping about with joy. :j :j
Meeting DD1 and DD2 tomorrow to go shopping in Taunton, might spoil them.
Forgot to soak split peas overnight, so will do veg omlette for DH lunch. Hope to make curtains and cushions for the twin bedroom. Wish I could potter in the garden but to much to do in the house.
SPECIAL HUGS TO CHRISCA, MRS MIX, SMOKEY, CANDYGIRL,AND DDAD.
