Go to page 3 of this thread, to cabbages post where it shows a 015 number and the relevant option numbers to press, just follow that to the letter and if you get someone with a scottish accent you should be in. They are authorised to give it to you! Good luck!0 -

Thanks, this would be a great bday present for DH, he's been banging on about HD for months!0 -
Thank you all especially cabbage. Rang Sky this morning quoted £150 plus £60 install. Came on here saw this offer and tried my hand. Fantastic Scottish girl helped me out. Told me that they can only give offers under certain circumstances, I said sorry okay and went to put the phone down thinking it is £210 then. She said, "say for example a customer called to downgrade his package" and laughed. Bingo!.
Told her I did, then she said well keep them for 12 months and have Sky HD for £75 and install for £30.
She was really helpful and polite and sorted me out for an install for Sunday. Can't wait now.
Thank you.0 -
I tried. I got through and asked what they could offer me on a sky+ box stating the deal some have been offered with the Sky HD. She quoted £150 for the Sky+. LOL. I said it doesn't matter. She refered me to the website. That was the best she could do. She didn't ask any my details either. I've been a customer with Sky since they first started broadcasting! Surely I can get a decent deal on a Sky+ box somehow?!?!0

How can a new subscriber be offered a Sky+ box for only £49 online
when a subscriber since Sky started broadcasting has to pay a minimum of £159 for a Sky+ box through an online special offer ?!?!?
I was offered the price of £49 from an online operator through the internet. But the offer was later retracted as he mistake me for a new customer. I felt strung along and immediately asked for a direct cancellation number.0 -
Hi All. Thanks to all who have posted. I've just called the standard sky customer number, and got the £75+£30 deal offered without threatening to leave. Just be nice to them! ;o)0

PS - I spoke to Christine at the Scottish call centre, and also to the lady sat next to her. Both VERY helpful people.0

Last update: Got my HD fitted today (£70 for box = £30 install). I don't have multiroom, but do have sky mix and movies.
Old Sky+ box was left for me, my skylinks to other TVs all work, and the olympics in HD is amazing!
Thanks to all who posted!:beer:0
