But that wasn't a pvr as pvrs need a HD in.
The Humax one is a PVR with 320gb HD the first one to reach the market
I know my old post wasnt clear enough although I did say it did need a twin LNB as a PVR works 100% potential as it has twin tunersthese came out a while back now i bought one from comet for £120 but sent it back the next day as there was only bbc hd at the time and all it was showing was tennis so thought is was a waste of money think their is more channels now though for free.
Picture is good.
But it was the first one that came out without the hard drive built in.0 -
They have taken the Sky+ box, the robbing git, no doubt he is selling it on
I got £55 for mine BTW, i would contact the police about the Ipod
I would also ring back Sky and mention you will contact the police if the box isnt returned, it is theft at the end of the day
We had his mobile no stored on our phone, had been ringing it but kept getting voicemail. Husband rang it this morning withholding our number and he answered. Anyway, we now have our sky+ box back so that's something. No explanation given. Didn't mention the ipod, not brave enough, he's a big tattooed bloke, not the sort you want to go around accusing of theft.
Feel a bit silly bothering the police about it, it's an old one and was about to be upgraded for a xmas present, but that's not really the point I suppose.0 -
Was offered a skyHD box for £129 after telling them I wanted to cancel to go to Freesat. I told them I'd think about their 'special offer' price. Phoned back after a couple of hours and told them that it was too much to shell out at this time of the year and also the fact that friends had been offered theirs for £49 (and they are no more 'loyal' than I) ............ they accepted my cancellation without any fuss. Obviously my custom is no big deal.
Freesat it is then!!0 -
you should be able to get HD installed for £70 at the moment. They'll reduce it to £100 and if you moan enough about the inconvienience of having to wait until Jan to get it installed they might just give you some credit to keep you happy. If you're not successful always worth calling a few times until someone helpful deals with you.0

When you phone Sky go to the option of thinking about leaving Sky. When you get through to some one DO NOT deal with them and ask for the TURN AROUND department.
Set a yourself a benchmark of what you are after.
Once through ensure you mention thinking of canceling a couple of times and then you can haggle.
Last week i stood firm after being told that i can have sky HD installed for £79. I ended up getting this system for free and 20% a month off my subscriptions for next 6 months.
My dad asked me to do the same for him who has a bt line so had more to haggle with.
Again turn around department and threatened to cancel.
Dad ended up with Sky HD for free and 12 months free line rental and sky talk in the day time for free for next three months which should be an extra £5 per month.
Secret is don't go in all guns blazing when you get through to the turn around department listen to what they say and suggest. Answer their questions. Have long silent pauses remain firm and focused on what you want. :money:
I then also went on Amazon the day after i had my hd installed i then sold my previous box for £30.
Hope this helps!!!!0 -
Just spoke to them I dont currently have any subscriptions, they offered HD+ box for 49 pounds, free installation, if i took out multiroom at 9.75 pounds a month. 30 pounds installation fee if I didnt take multiroom. 9.75 a month for 12 months for HD package. 45.25 pounds a month for the sports package ( we are not currently doing any offers on the sports package) They did offer to take away installation fee without me taking multiroom.
55 pounds a month for HD, still too expensive. 660 pounds a year
I have refused it0
