I know it is possible to barter with them to get a better deal, but tbh can't really face that hassle! Neither me or oh are much good at that kind of thing.
Anyway, just to confirm that I've ordered online and it is indeed £105 installed for existing customers with a £15 credit to be applied to our account. Plus I went via cashbackkings and will get another £15 cashback. So net cost of £75 installed.
Just a shame about the £10 a month charge. Hope the rumours of it ending soon are true!
Installation not available until week commencing 20 October though :rolleyes:0 -
Hello All
Sounds like a great offer but have you done the maths by adding the extra 10 pounds and the 12 months fee. It sounds a better deal if you were to just buy the box separately which is around 300. the 10 pounds extra s for sky plus.0 -

If you buy it seperatly you still have to pay £10 a month to get the HD channels, so thats £300 for the box and £120 for the subs (£420) rather than, £105box + £120subs = £2250 -

If you buy the box yourself you DONT have to pay for SKY HD £10/month sub unless you want it.the 10 pounds extra s for sky plus.
No it is not. The SKY+ fee was dropped over a year ago. It is for the HD channels and you have to keeo it for 12 months minimum.0 -

.
I know you dont but whats the point getting a HD box and only being able to watch BBC and C4 HD ?
It still works out cheaper going through Sky and paying them £10 a month for a year than buying seperately0 -
Quick question - we've got sky+ currently and are getting hd this weekend. Have got loads of stuff on the planner still to watch. Am I going to lose this or do they transfer it across somehow?
We have our original sky box in the kids room, so if they can't transfer the stuff, is the sky+ box ours to keep and could we put that in the kids room and still be able to watch the stuff on the planner?
If not, I've got some serious viewing to do over the next couple of days!!0 -
No they dont transfer the stuff over, yes you can put the Sky+ box upstairs, do you have multiroom ? if not you wont be able to view the programs, you can take the viewing card from the HD box and put in in the one upstairs to view the recorded programs when you want.
If you have multiroom they will put the Sky+ box upstairs and run another cable to it so you can use it as a Sky+ box0 -

So I take the new card from the HD box out and put it in the sky+ box in the kids room and then I'll be able to watch the progs I have stored. Have I got the right idea?!0 -
Yeah it should work but cant guarantee it as it may need to be paired to the box, i would try and watch everything if you can and sell you Sky+ box on Ebay0
