Hi Lurch,
As long as you are taking either the Sports or Movies package (or both) and agree to keep them for another 12 months, you should get this deal. I don't have multiroom myself.
If you don't get it first time around, keep trying though, as it depends on the call centre you get thru to as to whether they even know about the deal or not!0 -
The morons are coming out tomorrow to sort out last week's !!!!-up. Plus, they've told me to ring the 08442 414414 number and ask for the "Damage Department" to sort out my broken overflow pipes. I guess this dept must be quite busy.0

We tried to get the £105 deal for sky HD but couldnt get it, but did get a OK deal from them, we just have a basic sky package no movies or sports, we pay £17 per month + £10 multi room, they have gave us Sky+HD and instalation for £159, we didnt have to add any channels to the package and they reduced our multiroom to £5pm for 6months, also said by this time the £10 HD fee should hopefully be gone.0

Well what a waste of time that was ! 2 guys came to fit sky hd only to tell me I need another cable which they wouldn't put through the loft and down the wall like the other one.
( bungalow ). They would only drill through the outside wall and run the cable right around the outside of the house. This was not an option for me so I just had to tell them to forget about it. Now I have to try and get my money back !travelover0 -
Had a really nice Sky fitter out today to sort out last week's mess left by a sub contractor. He sorted everything out, except the problem of the Sky+ recordings off premium channels, which I now can't watch. He rang Sky, and put the Tech (lol) bloke on speakerphone so I could hear the conversation. The Tech (lol) bloke simply said that there's flick all I can do once the cards have been swapped. I'm going to try and get them off the HD with (skycopyplus), but I'm not holding out much hope because the Sky+ box is a first generation, and the engineer reckons the USB port isn't enabled on it.0

just a quick one on this if i get a hd box can i put my sky+ in the bedroom where my existing old black box is and can i record on the sky+ in the bedroom

Is anyone else having problems with their box? All of my recordings have failed today. I'm not impressed at all.0

Have been monitoring this thread for a while and have been considering an HD box as our Sky+ box was on the way out, its been randomly failing records/jumpy no sound playback/loss of capacity on planner.
Tonight was the last straw, 2 recordings from last night played with no sound and jumped around so made the call as per cabbages instructions.
Got through to the scottish call centre and got through to a guy called Dennis, top bloke. I was honest and said I had been on this forum and can they still do the deal. He knew about this site and said yes no problems. He confirmed that it was only his department that could offer it. He read out to me all the questions he was being asked by his computer and one was "downgrade saved?" ie after offering me the offer.
He said its only supposed to be for those wanting to downgrade/cancel but he said that they were getting loads of people calling so they asked the bosses to offer it to anyone and they said yes.
So thanks to OP and cabbage, getting HD for £105 and £10 per month for a year installed this thursday.
I would advise to just ask for the offer ( nicely ) rather than go round the houses about wanting to cancel etc
So everyone give top man Dennis from Sky an MSE wave! :T0 -

What number did you ring lurch and what option did you select to be put through to? Whenever I ring sky I always end up talking to India :rolleyes:0
