Well aren't Sky wonderful --- NOT!
Spent ages on the phone trying to get the £75 + £30 deal. After several departments saying they couldn't help (tried all the phone numbers already mentioned) I ended up through to general sales. Was told NO NO NO NO and again NO!!! All that is available to existing customers was 150 + 60. I tried to get to the bottom of this by digging and digging and mentioning the number of customers being offered the deal. The operator I was speaking to (Ndidi) said the system did not display this offer for our postcode (RH13). That got me thinking - I asked if this offer was being touted in areas where Sky are losing customers to Virgin media cable. and was told in a roundabout way - YES. We can't get cable in Horsham and so SKy face no competition and can charge what they like!! Spoke to their duty floor manager - a guy by the name of Dave - who was not helpful at all and bordered on being rude. Would not give me his surname but I did get his employee number. He backtracked quickly on the cable thing but could not give me a good reason why the offer is limited to certain areas.
Anyone else hitting this obstacle??0 -

we got a leaflet the other day about this offer, could have it for £75 + £30 install, if we took out either multiroom, or a broadband package, our contract is up on our broadband in 2 months, so may take them up on it then, and we are not in a cable enabled area, Dave.Take every day as it comes!!0 -
Just got the £105 deal today. Just said I was prepared to sign up for movies or sport for 12 months. No broadband or phone contract required. I do already have multiroom though.0

Just an update..........
Called at 10pm, got offer, just said a friend had got offer and was it still available. Asked whether you could add it to your account - he said "no" you have to pay by card tonight. Paid and getting installed on Saturday :jSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! Ordered my HD Box on Monday and it's being installed on Saturday. Total cost £105.
Sky will also fit an Octo (8 way) LNB and relocate my old multiroom box into another room as a FREESAT receiver. This means I will have 1 HD box, 1 Sky + box on multiroom and a third box (FREESAT) in a spare room.
Pleased I finally waited for this deal. Still have to pay the £10 per month for Multiroom and £10 per for HD. Hey ho. Can't wait to watch the footie on my 1080P Sony Bravia. Yippee:j
Think the key to this deal is :
1) Get through to the downgrades department as described in the first post
2) Be upfront about wanting the deal
3) Be prepared to take Sports or Movies for at least another year
4) Have you credit card at the ready and go for it
The girl I spoke to did offer to "book" the deal for a month so I could ring up in August to get the same offer.
Hope it worth the additional cost.:T0 -
I got mine fitted on Saturday and must say the picture quality on the HD channels is amazing!
Glad others have got the deal as well  I'm now looking forward to footie season proper - although my O/H isn't feeling so keen
Happy Days though!0 -
Called up before, got the offer no problem.
Thanks OP0 -
