I want to sell a couple of phones I have lying about, anybody have any luck in getting any cash? Any tips on when is the best time to go to have the best chance.
Also, if there's a long queue, is there anyone you can ask and get an honest answer about cash before you join the queue?
I only want cash because there isn't anything I'd like in which to spend the credit on, I'll be going to the coventry branches (two in town).0 -
If you want to get a bit more cash or trade in value for your console games, heres what to do,
go to the CEX website, click on the top right hand corner "sell" then look up the items you want to trade or sell. Add them to your basket. Once you have listed all your stuff go to "View Basket" then print of your basket list.
Take this along with your Games & Console, or Ipod to Gamestation and ask them to price match. They should do this and give you an extra £1 per item to what CEX would give you.
They used to do this for you, but CEX have banned all Gamestation IP addresses, so the customer has to do it for them.
And hey if you do it for store credit, jus tthink you can get a better price on the games you want to buy as they are not as expensive as CEX,
so quids in all the way0 -
good advice- i wonder if gamestation price match https://www.tradeyourstuff.co.uk as their prices are often better for cash??0

No they won't match a purely online company, there must be a CEX or any other Gaming shop within the same town foir them to do it. for those businesses that do it, get a receipt with the prices they were offering you and take that to Gamestation, they will accept this. The only reason for printing off CEX lists is because they blocked all the IP addresses of the Gamestation.0

They wouldn't happen to be Nokia 6300's would they? Honest answers are what I'm looking for funnily enough. Sey, Blackpool.0 -
Hello,
Is there a limit on how many games i can sell to Cex? That goes for both - same titles or random mixed e.g.
30 x Super Mario on Wii
30 x Nintendo Wii Games Mixed
Secondly, if there is no limit - what are the chances of paying me the price there and then instore for the games?
The number 1 complaint i've heard is - people not getting their money because the till don't have enough.
Is there a way around this? Online option perhaps?
Thanks0 -

max 9 per title, after that you need to contact them.
also once you do that the system will drop the price of said item0 -
Could someone explain how CEX works, ie do I take the games to the store and they pay the going rate that is on the website?

yup, the price they should offer you should be the price on the web. HOWEVER prices are known to be updated during the day (both up and down) so they may be different but this only happens on very popular new releases or at busy times of the year. Generally prices are only updated over night though, so if you check the site the morning that you head in, you should be ok. And head in either before 11 or between 3 and 5 to avoid the biggest queues.0
