"CEX is very good, they give yo umore money and credit then any mother store... However they are out of cash most of the time so you have to be lucky if you want to sell something for cash"
Credit is one thing but there are stores out there that will beat CEX trade in prices every time possible "Gamestation", but one of the problems with CEX is when the goods they sell you dont work properly, try explaining that to them, that you have played 3 or 4 hours of the game then it seizes or stops working, you take it to them then they "test" it for all of 5 mintues max and it works fine then they give it back to you saying it works fine.
What i do find funny is that they have become so desperate to stop other companies in the same industry beating them is that they have now blocked IP addresses to stop them being beaten in trading prices, there is nothing wrong with a bit of competition, it helps companies do different things, but CEX is one company that doesnt change, same old bored staff, unhelpful, stock that has a 50/50 chance of not working properly, so overly priced and management that have had no training and hidden their rather dodgey previous employment record from the company.0 -

You mean after all that has been said about this company youo still want to deal with them, if they cant pay the customers in the first place do you think they can afford to paya courier service. They used to use Citylink, but they did not pay their bill and therefor are balcklisted by them.:T0 -

You wanna get ur facts straight - that's TNT. LOL.
@computertec
you have to send in your own items through registered post if you're selling online to us.0 -
My kids love CEX. We use the Huddersfield store.. Yes there are always queues but the staff are always helpful and friendly and usually have a quick chat with the children. My kids trade in dvd's and games for credit (because it's more than cash) and go and buy themselves something else. Yes, I could probably get more on Ebay but it's just hassle and like I said the kids love their 'trade-in' visits.0

I also go for credit to make it stretch further. The CDs I was getting rid of were ones which had been languishing in my Play.com account for months without being sold, which were taking up valuable space in my tiny room, and even if I had sold them via Play.com I'd have had to pay for post and packaging etc. I prefer CEX to Music Magpie as I can do it in person so get my money/credit faster.0

Tried for cash three times this week in the Newcastle branch and been turned down each time so settled for store credit today, bit !!!!! really but never mind.0

I have a huge pile of Xbox games and DVD's that I want to exchange with CEX, but I don't know whether to make the bus journey into town (at a cost of £6.50!) or just send them into the website address (shipping £6.75).
The postal option seems less hassle, but how long do they take to credit you?We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -

My facts are straight, seeing as they used to deliver to us each week, and hmmm green logo thats CityLink, TNT are orange, so i think i know my courier companies...
Nice try at defending CEX, FAILED!!!!!!!0 -
Not defending them - I'm saying we're blacklisted with TNT, not city-link, after a brief period of using TNT they got !!!!ed off and we were back to city-link.0
