MIne is getting a little discoloured around the outside.. Anyone got any cleaning tips, please?0

Thanks for the advice about the Remoska - I have been toying with the idea of one for ages and ages, so I have taken your advice and gone and ordered the Standard one for the simple reason that I could roast a chicken in it, and the small one would be useless for that.
BTW in true moneysaving style I bought it via Quidco so I should be getting some money back plus I could order a free gift and from the selection offered chose a herb keeper worth £8.99 (I have wanted one of these too and never bothered getting one).:j
Can't wait for it to arrive now.0 -
I keep looking at the remoskas too but I have a slow cooker and wonder if I would use them both or if it would be a 5 minute wonder and then I'd go back to the SC?
Does anyone have and use (regularly) both a SC and a remoska, please?0 -
for all you that want one but dont want to buy one, have a go at this comp on the compers board to win one:D

A few days in and I have used my remoska every day and sometimes, several times in the day. I have cooked casseroles, meat, flapjacks, eccles, cakes, scones and so on. The quality of food coming out of the remoska is superb. Last casserole I made was a suasage casserole with potato slices, onion slices, baking apple chunks, top quality pork sausage pieces. Torn up herbs (sage) and pepper. That was it. It was absolutely wonderful. Trouble is that the half I was keeping for next day didn`t last as my dh had seconds
It takes seconds to wash and is so small (standard size) that it stores in a corner. I honestly wish I had bought one years ago0 -
My new Remoska arrived today and I have to say I am WELL IMPRESSED!! In one hour and 5 minutes I have made and cooked 1 large scone round (which should cut into about 10 slices), an apple and rhubarb crumble and a sponge cake :j:j:j
I have worked out that it uses a quarter of the electricity that my greedy fan oven would use, and is going to be much simpler to clean too.
I think I have found the equal to my panasonic BM in my affections!
Edited to add - just in case it helps anyone make up their mind about whether to buy one or not, all the things I cooked today are recipes I have made in my fan oven. The recipes that came with the remoska sound delicious and I will try them but I wanted to satisfy myself that it could be used to replace my oven without my having to change my recipes ...and it can!People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

My new toy arrived today:j I am so glad that I took advice on here before buying it because the standard one is definitely the one for me because I like to cook enough for two or three meals (eat one, freeze the rest).
It looks easy to use too with one switch - I hate it when you have to fiddle with knobs to get the right temperature.
I can't wait to use it:j
I have splashed out but as it is likely to save me money then it is definitely worth it, in fact one of my mates is already expressing an interest because he just uses his hob and never his oven preferring his microwave or George Forman machine.0 -
This morning before I went to work I made some focaccia dough in my BM. I then pressed the dough into shape in the remoska pan, put on the lid and went to work. When I got home it had risen beautifully, so I switched on the remoska and Voila! 20 minutes later I had the most lush looking focaccia loaf I have ever made - and that's saying something as my family think the focaccia is one of the best things that come out of my kitchen :TPeople Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading
