I bought one 2 weeks ago and it is brilliant, very easy to clean.only one temperature setting though-off or on. cooked salmon to perfection from frozen. Did breaded chicken fillets better than the oven imho.
only drawback is that the pan and lid get very hot so don't put it where kids can get at it. chips did well as did jacket potatos. also did a superb mince hot pot, fried the mince etc in a frying pan added thickening then put in the remoska with a covering of sliced potatos-very tasty.0 -
Thank you for your replies, and thank you Csarina for the PM.
Has anyone done anything that would traditionally require a really hot oven? Roast potatoes or roasted veg, for example, I'd normally do at Gas Mark 7 (220C, 180C in a fan oven, 425F).

I know that it's been a while since this thread started but I've just bought a standard Remoska from a car boot sale, it was completely unused and came with the shallow pan too - it cost me £4.
The seller didn't know what it was ( and I wasn't going to enlighten him!) because I think his stall was selling catalogue returns. I wasn't sure what came with it exactly, as there were no instructions or box so I took a chance that it was all there but my first thought was about how you regulated the temperature so I looked in the only place that I knew would know - old style.
I've just switched it on with my oven thermometer inside it and it got to 250 with the shallow pan and it's up to 220 with the deep one. Can't wait to try it out properlyIf I screw my eyes up tight I can just about see where you're coming from0 -
Hi TaBG
What a bargain! The standard Remoska is nearly £70, just with one pan, so well done.
Here are some links you might find helpful:

Hi,
Has anyone had any experience of using a Remoska cooker which is sold by Lakeland Plastics? I understand they use very little electricity and are consequently economical. They are about sixty pounds so I thought I would see if it is worth it first. Apologies if this has been asked before. I did a forum search but it came up with nothing.
Thank You AM XX0 -
Hi Anniemay,
The forum search function isn't working at the moment so that's why nothing came up for you.
This older thread should help...as far as I remember those who had one loved it.
