Another fan here. It is one of my better kitchen gadgets - and I've been through a few in my time!!! Basically it can be used for pretty much everything that doesn't need to be boiled.0

Hi,
I have a Remoska, I love it. Don't use it much at the moment as getting used to cooking from scratch at the moment, but I like the omelet that's in the recipe book that comes with it.
I used to the omelet at lot before I had DD as it's a quick meal when I got in late from work and DH was on late shift.
We're going on holiday to a caravan this year, and I'm packing my breadmaker, my slow cooker and my Remoska - there won't be much room left for clothes at the rate I'm going.

I wouldn't be without mine, now. I've found there is very little that I can't cook in it, ranging from home made bread, to quiche, to casseroles and just about anything in between. The Lakeland site has a video on how to do a complete fry-up in one, as well as a roast chicken with all the trimmings.
We too will be having several long weekends away caravanning this year, having had a new towbar fitted, and the Remoska and the slow cooker will be travelling with us. Their weight to freedom ratio must make them so worthwhile. What bliss to go out for the day and come back to a hot and ready-to-eat main meal.0 -
Who needs an oven at 4000watts/hour
I hand made some yeasted bread dough yesterday with butter and milk. Rolled into flat cakes after the first proving and cooked them on my griddle for 16 minutes after they had proved on a baking tray. They rose and rose and were the most delicious muffins (original type)
My new remoska arrived yesterday and I made lamb hotpot and it tasted divine with melt in the mouth meat. It took 1 1/2 hours on the worktop. This morning I put a flapjack mix together and cooked it in the remoska for 20 minutes. Later I will be cooking an almond cake in it and making a risotto in it for lunch
My dd is well overdue with her first baby and I intend to part cook an all in one meal in the remoska and will cool it and finish cooking in her house. I wish I had bought one years ago.
My bm is arriving on monday (550 watts). Remoska uses 450 watts an hour
I think I will be using my oven only for storage :T :T it is now obsolete0 -
I've got a Remoska. Last night I put in it chopped onion, chopped peppers, chopped mushrooms, "grill" seasonin from Lidl, dried oregano, soy sauce, and some strips of belly pork, cut into bite size chunks. Just turned it on and left it. There was enough water in the mushrooms that I could just leave it like that with no added water. Hour and a half later I had the most amazing dish the belly pork had gone so tender and the mushrooms were great, the onion and pepper cooked to perfection too.
I've got a whole chicken in there now. Although I cook mine upside down (on its breast) so the "top" doesn't dry out with being nearer to the element. Then turn it over for the last ten minutes to brown the top.
I've discovered that an eight inch non stick sponge cake tin fits perfectly in the top so you don't need to buy their expensive shallow pan. This I use for doing my son's Saturday lunch (when I allow him a few oven chips and some breaded chicken nugget type things) and they cook perfectly being higher up towards the element.
I love mine.0 -

The only place to get them is Lakeland I think... They do a Grand Remoska which is bigger I got the standard one as there are two of us and like I say you can do a whole chicken in the regular one as long as it's not a Monster chicken. They do a baby remoska for singletons..
I did buy the little pan separator that sits half way across the deep pan so you can do a few dry goods in the little pan and a stew in the bottom, for example. I ordered the rack but it was out of stock and since I discovered my cake tin trick I might not bother with the rack.... I paid £80 plus £17 for the extra pan... I am pretty sure I got some Quidco cashback too. I am using mine more and more these days.0
