Hi, there are 4 of us (DS aged 15 and DD aged 9) and I have the grand. Whilst I think the standard is recommended for 4, I bought the larger because as my OH would say, if you're gonna have one, have a big one :rotfl: . Seriously it would be a shame to buy the standard and then have to buy the larger one later when you find its not big enough.
Only had it a week so just experimenting but loving it.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

Well, after reading all of your comments and hearing fuel is expected to rise 40% I've just ordered the large remoska.Can't wait to try it.
What I would like to know is when making a cake or quiche do you use baking tins ect in it,and if so what kind of tin is best.Is it just like using an oven?.0 -
I would like to know about using tins as well. I don't think I would want to get a Grand Remoska if I could only make thing the size of the pan which appears to be about 30cms across - that is nearly a foot :eek:0

Never thought of it that way.I hope somebody can tell us about the use of tins ect.0 -
Yes no problem using tins in the Remoska - note though that the pan is non-stick so it is best to put some tinfoil or a silicon sheet under the tin to protect the non-stick coating. I guess there is also a rack to go with the Grand Remoska (I have the standard) so you can lift the tin off the bottom, but there is nothing wrong with just putting it in on the bottom."Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0

:jJust ordered the standard size remoska which should be enough for the 2 of us, also noted it was lower wattage than the large one. Thank you for all the input on here, off to find some recipes for it now.Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Has anybody ever used one of those halogen ovens? They look a bit like a remoska, but it is made of glass. They are also cheap to run, but I wonder which would be better - remoska or halogen?0

I recently indulged myself and bought the specially produced Remoska cookbook. If anyone wants to double-check a recipe, amounts or best-way-to-do something, just sing out. I call in here most days so you won't get an immediate answer but you will hear eventually!
Although there's usually only hubby and me, I also bought the grand (the largest) on the basis that by doubling up on everything, I got two meals for the cooking cost of one and have ready made meals in the freezer for when I want a day off from cooking. Hope that helps someone.0
