Remoska cookers (merged)

Like many others on this forum, I have hardly used my oven since buying the Moska so am hoping that my next electricity bill will be vastly reduced. I was doing lots of cooking last night and was impatient - had food in the Moska which hadn't finished cooking and wanted to cook some other stuff so decided to put the oven on as well.
I had a look at my electricity meter with just the Moska on and it was hardly moving. I then put the oven on and it was amazing to see how it was just whizzing around so I am more convinced than ever that I will save the money I have spent.0 -
Well, mixed results on the old roast chickin dinner.
Chicken was really tasty, took about the same time as in the oven. Roast pots didnt go crispy just sort of sat in the chicken juice and were a tiny bit crispy on top.
Carrots cooked in a homemade tray made from tin foil were totally declicous.
My yorkshire puds were a total disaster however, I used a silicone muffin tray, heated the oil in it for 10mins and used the remoska recipe for the mix. They started to rise really quickly but they were getting burned around the top edges with no sign of the bottom or insides cooking. I decided to take the lid off - Big mistake! they sunk back to nothing and didnt rise again. I also had to turn them over as the sides and bottoms were not cooking at all
Overall though a tasty meal apart from the yorkshires which were still eaten:D Only 1 pan to clean and the muffin tray which just needed a quick wipe. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Please can anybody tell me if they have found a nice cake tin that fits inside the standard ? Where ?0

Is the standard remoska £79.99 in the last catalogue-have thrown mine out and I REALLY want one
Do they seem to be honouring prices even though website gone up and I don't have original code? Curses on my obsessive recycling :-(0 -
I think its one of the grestest inventions known to woman. No huge elect consumption and only one pot to clean that practically cleans itself . Yessss !0

I was thinking of getting the baby one? Would this be worth getting for just me and my DD? We eat alot of chicken kievs, breaded fish, chips etc and I hate putting on the huge oven for just one tray of things. I already have a slow cooker but only really use that for stews and casseroles.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

Haven't got my old catalogue but both standard and grand have gone up by £10 and as standard is showing as £89.99 online I assume it was £79.99. If you just ring Lakeland and tell them you are ordering from the summer catalogue they should just tell you the old price without you having to ask. I also tend to re-cycle things too quickly and had got rid of my old catalogue before I ordered mine but as soon as I said I was ordering from the "Out of the Kitchen" catalogue they honoured the old price!0 -

I decided to get the grand so that I could use it when we have visitors as well. I am so glad that I did, if I am only doing something for the 2 of us then I just use a small baking tin inside and this works out fine. Think the smaller ones would have been too small for us.0
