Oh after the fiasco of ordering the Remoska I'm keeping my head down:rotfl:
I dont need any e-cloths so not too fussed.
Plus I'm ordering the Tefal Jam Maker in a few days so will probably get them then.I'm thinking of ordering the rack too
Well my poor Baboushka as I've called my Remoskahas worked her socks off today. She produced a fry up and omelette this morning.A big batch of buns for the kids and a beef stew for tea.So I reckon she's sat on the side shattered:D I love her and she can definitely stay now as long as she doesnt start drinking my vodka:rotfl:

So after dithering for MONTHS I finally ordered a standard Remoska. I phoned up, she asked for the product number 'I'm sorry I haven't got it, I saw it in my Mum's catalogue'. 'Oooooh kay that will be £79.99 then'. Just as well I was sitting down! I didn't even have to ask. So in celebration I ordered the rack as well - I figure that if I'm doing chips or jacket spuds or something I'll need that to fit the rest in. I'm very happy, even though it's out of stock til next week.0

Hi fellow remoska fans :-) Yesterday the jacket spuds were perfect. Small amount of butter on skins prior to cooking and crispy skins, fluffy insides, yummy!!!!!!!!!
I got some non stick liner in Aldi's on Thursday and cut that to fit the bottom. Quick question guys, I notice the shallow grande pan is not available till 29th. Should I go for this, or the rack or both. Do they both serve different purposes. I hoped my microwave rack would do but i think it might be too tall as the food would be almost touching the lid. All help much appreciated, I can't wait to start using it properly but our kitchen is coming out from tomorrow and I'm dreading the mess. Will be worth it when its all done tho!!0 -

i think the pans are wayyyyy to expensive for my budgetbut i did buy the rack today though and im going to just use any baking tin from my cupboard that fits inside
I walked all over town looking for some kind of pan stand trivet thing that would fit in my remoska as i was hoping i could have done without the £9 rack but none i saw had the height so sadlu give in and went to lakeland,i kept the receipt so might be going back if i find a suitable stand
I also got in poundland in metro centre (the upstairs one) a non stick baking sheet which i am going to cut a circle out and place it on the bottom to protect the coating.Couldnt aford the £10 magic liner from lakeland even though the quality looked really good.0 -
Well I was very old style money saving today and using a tip I had picked up on the grocery challenge thread and used before, when I peeled the potatoes for the potato, onion and bacon hotpot the other day I saved the (good) peelings in a container of water in the fridge. Tonight I drained them, dried them and tossed them in some olive oil with salt and pepper and cooked them in the remoska for about 45 mins - I stirred them around once during this time - then when they were all crisp and golden we had them with some home made dips - lovely.

Lesley if you email lakeland customer services and explain you spent over £60 they will send you a free gift. Their customer service is excellent!
When I ordered mine over the phone, I was so pleased to get it at the cheaper price that I forgot to ask about the free gift. I e mailed them, got an e mail back the next day saying a free gift was in the post. Suggest if you want a specific gift, if there is a choice, that you say what you want in your e mail.0 -
Lesley, here are the choice of the free gifts:
https://www.lakeland.co.uk/checkout/giftawards?method=get
I'd give them a call.
EDIT: sorry link wont work unless you have items over £60 in your basket.
Just stick a Remoska in your basket and you will see the choices.
