I have just bought a "czech cooker". It is very similar to the Remoska with but has a temperature control. I got it 3 days ago but have already used it 3 times. One cake, one potato dish and a bit of an experiment on how long it would take to cook a ready prepared meal from the freezer to ready to eat. I put the frozen curry in, still in its foil container and it took about an hour. I put it on the grid which i up turned first. This has been a fantastic buy. Tonight I am going to try the chicken thigh and rice dish that was shown on Economy Gastronamy this week.

I have been reading this thread for a while now and want to thank you all for all the lovely hints and tips.

I never make quiche, but today I'm going to try, could someone tell me if they think this would be OK. I'm going to line a little silicone tart 'pan' with pastry and bake it blind on a rack in the ordinary pan in my standard Moska. Then I'm going to put in the pre-cooked onion/bacon mix, add the egg/milk mix, sprinkle on a bit of cheese and cook on the rack again.
Or should I just do it in my shallow pan without the rack, and do I need to blind bake it anyway ? My OH hates pastry so we never have quichey things, but I'm going to do it today, d***it, because I do like them. But help from an experienced quiche cooker would be helpful, please.
  • I did a variation on roasted peppers as starter today - worked well, and also used up left-overs...

½ tin pilchards in tomato sauce (mashed a bit with a fork, mixed with leftover spicy couscous, with some chopped spring onions and some chili flakes. I halved and cleaned the peppers, piled in the stuffing and popped them in the Remoska from cold for about 40 mins (they were monster peppers, small ones owuld have taken a bit less tiime). Topped with grated cheese for the last 5 minutes.

They went down very well with some green salad..

Lakeland are marking up well on the price of their Grande, I can buy it here for 99 euros (currently about 85 pounds)

However, I don't expect the customer service is up to that of Lakelands!!
    (Mine is on its way)

That is a good price - would it have an GB plug on it?
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!

No, you would have to stick a three pin plug on (really simple, I had to convert all my electric appliances the other way when we moved here!);)

Is it China the code 0371 ?

Found this now by just putting in the telephone number
    http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.eukasa.de/&ei=ZUyISojHA!!!jAevx4WjCw&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=2&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3D0371%2B3350855%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26hs%3D2J5
Then you have to put Remoska on to the search kitchen appliances
£63 for the baby Remoska if they deliver to UK and if you can understand the language !

Mine arrived today and I'm just fixing a turkey curry for our first meal. I didn't get a recipe book /maybe that's unique to Lakeland) but with all the great tips posted here I don't think I need one. MMMM smell that vindaloo, I think I've died and gone to curry heaven;)

Hi IMHO, yes I speak German (albeit badly:p) I have had a look and delivery outside of Germany is 17 euros, plus you have to pay by 'vorkasse' which generally means you need an euro bank account. You can pay by credit card, but you get charged for that as well, so maybe not so cheap for export ?
