QVC has a 'czech' cooker,3l which looks remarkably like the ramoska but this one has a thermostat. Thought it might be of interest to anyone who is dithering over buying a remoska as QVC have a no quibble 30 day guarantee which allows you to try it thoroughly, plus with something like this return postage would be free by a courier.

If I hadn't bought my ramoska last year I would probably have seccumbed to this!Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0 -
Goodness, yes, it's just the same isn't it ! (Mind you I really like the simplicity of the absence of a temperature control - knowing me I'd keep turning it down or up by accident and then have raw or burnt food).
Last night I put some washed and spun-in-the-salad-spinner spinach in the Moska - it came all the way to the top. I left it to wilt for a bit, dotting the top with a few flecks of butter, and then stirred it to level it out. Then I put bite size bits of cooked chicken on top and poured a thickish white sauce over the lot. Cooked for about 20 mins until piping hot. Then I added a scattering of fresh breadcrumbs I had anyway and a small amount of grated cheese - 10 mins more and yum. OH was very happy with that which we had with a few new potatoes. Could do ham/bacon bits instead of the chicken I realised.0 -
A very simple meal that I do quite a lot: pricked washed whole potatoes, not large. Bake 30-40 min. Add salmon fillets and bake another 10-15 mins. The taste and texture is divine and even my dh could cook this0

I'm being drawn to buy this czech cooker as it looks so similar to the Remoska, but I have 1 question, is a 3lt size big enough to put a chicken in and roast it? ThanksI also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like you
would like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing

I gave my mum a remoska and she has got a bit fed up of it - she's very sceptical about gadgets, but she rang today to say she had done great baked potatoes so is enthusiastic again.
I did ratatouille and lamb chops in my own one this evening - very simple stuff. Roughly chopped onion softened in a bit of garlic oil, then I added the roughly chopped courgettes, tin of tomatoes, stock cube and splash of very strong chilli sauce. Cooked that for 10 mins and then stuck the lamb chops in on the rack and checked every 10 mins till I was happy. Delicious0 -

Yeeha !!!! I am a very happy person: I went to the Lakeland in Bicester today to get some vinyl gloves and some other odds and ends, and there on the Reduced shelf was a Grand remoska, reduced from £109.99 to £69.99 just because the inside packaging was a bit crumpled. I checked it carefully before I bought it and it's spotless and lovely !!!!! So any minute now I shall need advice about what you can do in a Grand thta I couldn't do in my Standard one. Hoorah !!!!! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j.0

That is brilliant, what a bargain! I've only ever had the grand. I like the fact I can cook a big chicken in it. I also like cooking things like lamb chops with roasted new potatoes and veg all in one pan. So easy and only one pan to wash up.0
