I am a very happy person: I went to the Lakeland in Bicester today to get some vinyl gloves and some other odds and ends, and there on the Reduced shelf was a Grand remoska, reduced from £109.99 to £69.99 just because the inside packaging was a bit crumpled. Fantastic! Lovely to hear of someone else getting a bargain one .

I checked it carefully before I bought it and it's spotless and lovely !!!!! So any minute now I shall need advice about what you can do in a Grand thta I couldn't do in my Standard one. Indeed it was such a bargain that OH (who would normally have been v grumpy at the arrival of 'yet another' gadget and space-clutterer was quite delighted too. !!!!0 -
Hi, I'm thinking of investing in one of these, but have one quick question
It claims that you can do pizza in it is this right?
And if so how large, in the standard.
Thanks in advance

I made sourdough bread two days ago and I just mix and add according to how I feel and how it looks. I normally put the oven on an hour before baking bread, in order to heat my thick bakestone. I thought I would use the remoska, so I made an amount of dough that fitted comfortably in the grande. I let it rise with the lid on and I baked for 50 mins, turning the bread over after 40. It was fantastic. Big enough to freeze 7 packages plus enough for a chunk for the breadbin
Absolutely fantastic money and energy saver, as I always make cakes to cook while the bakestone is heating up0 -
morganlefay wrote: »HalfaSixpence please can you tell me what cut of beef you did, what it weighed and how long you cooked it for ? I had a piece of topside which I did in the big oven in the end as I was scared of shrinking it, tho I did do it for just a short time, quite hot so am not sure if the Moska would have ruined it. It was really good - we just ate it cold in sarnies and with salad in all that very hot weather - great no-cook meals !
Sorry; I haven't been back here for a while. I have used topside and silverside; and usually go for about 1hr -> 1hr 15mins. I use a meat thermometer if I'm not sure and aim for slightly rare.
The silverside I did this week - had intended to S/C it as I work on Sunday morning but forgot to put it on so remoskaed it instead and it was the nicest roast beef I've had for ages.0 -
What is the best way to cook a breakfast in the Remoska? I have bacon, mushrooms, beans and eggs?
Thanks

I would use the shallow pan, put the bacon in first, followed by mushrooms, then beans and eggs last. Eggs cook very quickly in the Moski, so keep your eye on them.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

Yes be careful with the eggs, they literally cook before your eyes. I put tomatoes in last time but won't do it again as being watery my breakfast ended up steamed.0

What a bargain I was in Lakeland yesterday in Bluewater and the standard one there was 99.99 and the grande 116.99 I am glad I bought mine last year and I think it cost about 79.99. Possibly the popularity of the remoska is because we all rate it so highly.I must admit I have barely used my main oven in over a year0
