    Hi Foxy,

congratulations on your new remoska :D

There are many recipes posted on this remoska thread and the old one too but i think that you can cook/adapt just about any recipe that can be cooked on the hob or in the oven for the remoska.

Have fun with your new toy :D

    Awww Thanks SunnyDay! :D:D
I love it already. have wanted one for 2 years since Mrs M mentioned about it and I asked what one was on another thread! (Thanks Mrs McAwber!;)) had never heared about one. earlier this year my hubby and I went for a trip to Prague and I even priced one up there! but would have cost about the same and I would have had to get it home too!

I fancy trying macaroni cheese but popping it in the Moska to bake the top. I love this with beans :D I might pop some Broccolli in too. get 2 of the 5 a day there then!

What is your fave to cook in your Remoska?

My most recent fave is this -

precooked lamb (i did it in the pressure cooker to make it tender and portioned it up to freeze)
some of the juice the lamb was cooked in
    red and green peppers
    passatta
    few tomatoes halved
    garlic
    courgette
    onions
3 big tablespoons of balti curry powder.

Throw it all in and leave for about 50 mins - result gorgeous, couldn`t believe i`d made it :rotfl:

Well I have just called into the Durham Lakeland store and after staring at, picking up, taking apart, checking accessories, looking through the recipe book, walk around, come back, repeat from beginning....

I finally picked up a standard Remoska and recipe book and took them to the counter to buy. The nice lady gave me a free couple of chopping boards with green corners - very decent of her.

So here I am at home looking at this thread, again, but now with my brand new erm 'moski' sitting there. What to do first? I'm tempted to start with a jacket potato or maybe Yorkshire pudding. Baby steps and all that...

Jacket potatoes are excellent in the moski, definitely a good place to start! :)
That's what I started with in mine.

Mrs Mcawber posted the exact amounts for the yourkshire pudding ingredients on one of the GC challenges, the recipe in the booklet which came with the remmy was wrong.
Mrs M`s recipe is perfect and i`ve used it ever since.
I normally throw in a couple of sausages too and make onion gravy. Sometimes i also add dried sage to the yorkie mix depending on which type of bangers i`m using - scrummy!

    Hi there Peeps! :D
I agree with cooking-mama! a Remoska Recipe thread would be brill!

I just wondered..... if anyone has made any "Remoska Bread" and if they have what recipe have they used?

I think someone mentioned earlier they make foccacia bread. can I have the recipe for this please? :o sorry can't remember who posted it though.....

Any kind of bread recipes would be great!! I think I am more likely to try this way as bread that I have tried before hasn't turned out very well at all in the "normal" oven.

    PLEEEEEEEEASEEEEEEEEEE!!! :D:D:D
  • im planning on trying a Hovis white bread mix later if thats any good,im also just gonna start a Remoska Recipes only post as some people do seem interested, someone,?polly penguin??",suggested this post for hints ,tips ,recommendations, remoska chat etc,and the new post simply for recipes only...its worth a try !

I would love a recipe only thread as I hardly ever use mine. I got it a Grand ridiculously cheaply (at under £30) from Lakeland last year but it doesn't get as much use as it should.
  • Dunno if i should be brave enough to admit this or not,especialy as how hundreds and hundreds of money savers love their Remoska,but;
Oh dear, after raving about getting one,and being so excited that i was gonna start a Remoska Recipe only thread im now not even sure if i like it or not:confused:
First thing i made were scones...followed the recipe, but they still took almost double the recommended time(maybe i didnt pre-heat long enough, altho recipe doesnt tell you to preheat at all),then altho they taste nice and are a lovely colour they are kinda flat and a wee bit hard/dry.

Next was a beef and potato curry,it was tasty, but again took well over 1.5hrs(i was expecting 1hr,same as beef casserole in book cos only main difference was curry powder)definately prefer beef/stewed steak done in slow cooker after this.

And lastly i wanted to "grill" some pork loin fillets, but could only kind of dry fry them, tho they ended up cooking in what looked like water...took 20min,would only have taken around 10 under the grill.

Thankfully the checkout girl quite literarly said i could take it home, cook meals for a week and still return it if i wasnt impressed.
so !,is it just me,??or are there others out there not immediately impressed?
im not gonna give up on it just yet,im working next 2 days, but then i have 3 days off to experiment,il see how i get on then.
