Asda currently have leg of lamb on special offer, and I bought a huge one last week. We had a roast lamb dinner on Sundey, sandwiches on Monday, and to use up the lamb I did a lamb hotpot in the Remoska.
Put the chopped lamb into the Remoska, add a 3/4 pint of stock and a couple of tablespoons of gravy power. Put in a layer of leeks, cover with grated cheese and then add sliced potatoes, brush with butter, and cook for about an hour. It was lovely. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

I make bread in the remoska all the time -I just cut the dough in half shape into 2 cakes place side by side in the remoska, leave to prove then switch on..they are lovely :T ....you just break it into 2 cakes when its done... you get smaller slices but they are still toastable and great for soup

Hello!
Yesterday my DH took me shopping to choose my birthday present.
I chose a Grand Remoska, the rack and the recipe book.
The trouble is I'm not allowed to even open the box for another 20 days!!!
So, my question is, what would you suggest I cook first when I officially receive it? Remember it'll be my birthday so nothing low fat please!0 -

MMMMMM belly pork on a bed of peeled sliced rooster spuds, with some sliced onions and garlic, maybe some white wine or cider. serve with savoy cabbage (or could remove belly pork, add cabbage replace pork and cook cabbage in remoska with pork and spuds for the last 30-40 mins (I do NOT like my cabbage al dente-it needs to be cooked, I know its not trendy but I love savoy cabbage cooked yum yum yum)
Or 2nd favourite (which is only a side dish-we had last night with T bone steaks and rocket) slow cooked potatoes with tallegio and thyme (cook sliced new pots with onion and pancetta or smoked bacon, and thyme, for about an hour until all soft and cooked and delicious, then add sliced tallegio for the last 5-10mins, is drool worthy but don't forget to season-pepper and salt are needed for spuds0 -
Did a really nice tea in the shallow pan tonight, threw in some sliced onion, sliced carrot, par boiled baby potatoes, some runner beans, splash of wine, little water, splodge of olive oil, few herbs salt and pepper couple of chipolata sausages and a few stuffing balls, cooked for about half an hour, then added some broccoli and sat a couple of chicken breasts on top and cooked for another half hour.
Removed the lot then added a few gravy granules to the stock. It was a really easy meal and I only had one pan to wash!0 -
Just out of interest has anyone else got the shallow pan and what do you think of it?0

I have the shallow pan and find it really handy. HM potato wedges and HM oven chips are quick and easy to do in it. When I get round to it, I'm going to try doing a HM pizza in it. I got 'the set' when I bought my grand remoska and added in the shallow pan, the rack and the recipe book. The recipe book is the only thing I don't use :rolleyes:Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -

I'm finding the same thing, wouldn't be without the shallow pan now, like you I think I've got the lot now apart from the little dividing dishes which I'm not too bothered about and I don't really use the recipe book either although there are some good recipes in there I've just not got around to using it, I'm more inclined to do a recipe that others on here have tried and tested.0
