DH - the airer looks good, I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has one as well!
Flossie - a divided dish for the moski would be fab, I'd like mine divided into 3 though, so I could do a meat version, a veg version and a side dish like rice! Not fussy at all then lol!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

You guys have got me thinking about these scratches y'know, I've just emailed Lakeland about them (I feel bad ringing after the grand remoska debacle) so see what they say. Trouble is I don't want to be without it now while they replace it, I would rather keep it even though there are scratch marks on it.
Got a delish curry in there and just off to eat it in a mo...
(BTW has anyone got the heated airer? Is it worth getting?)
Hi Desperate Housewife
Lakeland are replacing mine as I said but I can keep this one until the other one comes and once I am happy with the replacement I have to ring them again to arrange for the original one to go back. I don't see why they couldn't do that with your pan. It's worth a try.
I wonder if all these problems are recent or have there always been problems like this. I can't imagine Lakeland putting up with all this from other suppliers.0 -

i suspect they return them to checkoslovakia and get replacements - if so its only the courier costs
if they are replacing just the pan i think reading earlier replies that they send a new one and you dont return the old one0 -
Just thought I would add to the thread again. I managed to buy a Remoska (I think it's a standard) from Ebay for around £56, including postage. It's not new but in very good condition. Usually Remoskas on Ebay cost a similar price to Lakeland, but there was a spelling mistake in the title meaning I got a bargain. There was also the Remoska recipe book included, which is a definite bonus!
I used it for the first time today, making scampi with rice, more or less following the recipe in the instruction book. It was quite a success, although I had to add more stock than stated. I don't think I had weighed the rice in a scientific manner!
I cooked the defrosted scampi in the fish fryer and wondered whether I could have added it to the rice in the Remoska. I don't have a rack and was uncertain so didn't try.
I think I will have to re-read the thread again to check out some of the brilliant recipes already posted.
Thanks everyone0 -
A divided silicone dish with a handle would be wonderful.
Are you listening Adrian
Yes, I am listening :-) I shall pass on this idea to the Buying team - it sounds like a good one to me! Actually, a lot of products originate from customer suggestions and the Remoska Pan Seperator was also a customer suggestion (see http://www.lakeland.co.uk/standard-remoska-pan-separator for details). If you have any other suggestions for products please let us know: http://www.lakeland.co.uk/L?content=contactus.htm.

I think that i shall ring about my pan after i`ve returned from holiday in a couple of weeks time, our deliveries usually get pushed over the garden wall which is ok but returning things is a nightmare as we work shifts so i`m glad to hear that they may not need the old one back. I`d hate to think that a replacement would sit in the garden for a long time
Adrian - nice to see you posting, hope that you will be a regular on here, this is the first time that i`ve ever bought anything from Lakeland and it certainly won`t be the last

I love Lakeland, and now I'm off to look at the airer!
Thank you, mummysaver!
In response to the comments about the lid staining, I went downstairs to Customer Services today to see who there was a Remoska fan and to ask for tips on cleaning them (as I said earlier I don't have a Remoska myself so I'm not qualified to make any suggestions). So, apparently Chris is an expert and she said that she simply uses Astonish for the lid (http://www.lakeland.co.uk/astonish) and then for the base she recommends just wiping with a damp cloth. Chris uses a Microfibre cloth (http://www.lakeland.co.uk/lakeland-home-microfibre-cloths) but I imagine any non-abrasive cloth will do.
Let me know how you get on and if anyone else has any clever cleaning tips please let us know.

I hope so but it does get pretty busy during office hours (that website won't manage itself!) so it'll usually be in the evening after the kids have gone to bed that I'll post.
I do have any apology to make, though. I said last night that I'd fix the quirky search result for 'remoska' but I'm afraid another issue came up that meant that I didn't get round to it. Apologies. Better go direct to http://www.lakeland.co.uk/remoska for now.

Adrian - welcome! Just wanted to add my thanks to Lakeland for such excellent customer service.....as a customer I really feel I "count".
I have a grand remoska which I have used every single day since I bought it and I LOVE it - not only because it has cut our electricity bill big time, but because everything I cook in it taste superb - I too would be very interested in a divided silicone dish with a handle (excellent idea muppet81 :T) I also find Astonish paste is fantastic for cleaning the lid (it's great for getting marks off my white sink too).People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

anyways thanks for the inspiration...
