Tonight, to use up a leftover cooked chicken thigh, I cut off the meat and cubed it, and put it in the moska with frozen peas and cous cous, mixed with some olive oil and Tesco Moroccan herbs and spices, added roughly double the volume of hot water. Added a little more water after 10 mins as it looked a bit dry, and some leftover cooked broccoli, left for another 5 and then ate. Yum yum.
If I had made this on the stove top in a pan, it would have probably burned on without enough liquid in it. Haven't had the annoyance of a burnt pan since getting the moska.
Oh, and not missing cleaning the oven either!

Just popping in to update
Ive used the remmi a few times now and its perfect
I did scampi and chips on thursday and after the posts on here saying chips were soggy I was a little apprehensive but they came out fine for me. I only put a handful in straight into the bottom of the deep tin and spread them all out in one layer and they came out crispy for me. So maybe smaller amounts work best
I also made crispy chicken last night ( the old el paso dinner kit) and that came out perfect then I put a lyer of grease proof paper (so it didnt scratch the pan) on top of the dirty pan and cooked a apple and plum crumble in a small dish inside which also came out perfect and meant I didnt have to wash out the pan between uses:rotfl:
But my question is those of you that use a cake tin instead of the shallow pan, do you put the cake tin inside the deep pan or do you just rest the cake tin on the rack? Hope that makes sense, I'm trying to figure out if I need the shallow tin but my cake tins dont rest on the top of the deep pan if you see what I mean:rotfl:.

Hi everyone,
I'm a new remoska user and new to this site too. This thread is so interesting, have tried to read as many posts on this thread as possible, but it is so long its going to take ages!
Some very interesting tips and recipes on this thread.
To date I have done roast chicken with roast veg, crumble, pineapple upside down cake, tomato feta and aubergine bake, salmon and spring onions in a hm chinese style sauce. Today we had pork chops cooked on top of sliced potatoes (next time I'll put some foil on top for part of cooking)
All of these were gorgeous so I'm well hooked!
My BM is making some chelsea bun dough as I write. I've also baked some rolls which turned out great.
I wondered, has anyone attempted to bake a christmas cake in their remoskas? It takes so long to cook in the oven it has got to be quicker and and cheaper in moska , but worried it might burn, any ideas?

More experiments with my mossi - I wrapped up a couple of pork chops in foil and cooked for about an hour, then popped pots all round to roast, then popped some Chicken dippers (on top of the foil - dd doesnt like meat) and some carrots round the edges and they were all fab! I love one pot cooking!
Did rice too yesterday - put 1 cup of brown rice into my trusty lasagne dish and put it in the mossi - added 2 cups boiling water and cooked if for about 40 mins (brown rice always take longer) - it was lovely and fluffy - no watching the pan or having a nasty rice pan to wash.Kondo'ed 76 items from wardrobe, 4 carrier bags of books0 -

I was going to do the mash spuds today in the remoska but we had a power cut! No probs though due to trusty gas cooker and slow cooked beef overnight but I didn't have time to use it. So, today is the first day I haven't cooked in it!Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

Bought the cooker based on this thread and am delighted with it-haven't used the hob or oven since I got it. Pan that came with it had a dent but Lakeland replaced it immediately telling me I could keep the dented one and gave me vouchers off my next purchase. But
put the new pan in the dishwasher to wash it out and when I put it in the stand it was dented and didn't fit the cooker lid. Have sort of fixed this by flexing it a bit and cooking in it twice with a weight on the lid and then letting the cooker cool with the lid on. How fragile/bendable are the bottom pans ? Feel a bit churlish complaining again0 -
