Hi Moneypanicker, I just washed the chicken and put some herbs, butter s&p, slice of bacon and herbs up its jumper and cooked it 20 mins per lb plus 20 mins, turned out perfect. Some on here cook it upside down the stop the breast going dry but mine didn't Next time I cook my spuds I am going to put them inthe micro 1st (like i do for roast spuds) I think they willl turn out better. You might want to do it on the rack for ease of removal but its not essential. I found it exuded a lot of juice but it was ok as I used that for gravySave £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

I've never heard of a Ramoska, it sounds quite good!
Is anyone noticing big differences in their electricity bills? My lovely new fan oven is costing a ridiculous amount, electric bills have shot up since I started using it
How does the usage compare with a Slow Cooker?
Is there enough space to bake cakes in the Standard one?
thanks0 -
Hi S&S -the remoska is very different to a slow cooker, as it cooks just like an oven in terms of timing and what you can cook. In terms of elec comparison, I don't know but in the last couple of day I think someone posted that it cost less to use a remoska than a sc- perhaps scroll back a few days worth of posts to see. I'm now cooking stuff I never felt I could justify putting the oven on for just 2 of us.
Everything I have read supports yes you can definitely cook cakes in the standard & bread I have a grand so have alittle more room, but there are many standard owners here who will drop by soon.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Thanks BB,
There's just the two of us here as well, I've started to do a lot of things in the oven at the same time to make best use of it, e.g. baking a cake alongside jacket spuds (OH likes the crunchy shell on the cake from baking at too high a heat! :rotfl:) but I've found that my electric bills have shot through the roof.0 -
I have the Standard size sas, and I have baked 3 cakes and a loaf of bread in mine so far (have only had it a fortnight). There are only two of us but now, having used it every day since I got it, I would swap it for the Grand size given chance.
Will be doing a curry in it tonight.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
I have briefly scanned through this thread to try and find some info.....you all seem really happy with the remoska. Maybe I am just being thick but I still dont understand how you use it. Do you put things straight in the pot or place containers withing the cooker as you would do in a regular oven. As my leccy guzzling oven is on its last legs (cant quite believe its still going ) I am very interested in getting one somehow! Do you have to buy the racks etc I have seen mentioned ? And finally with a family of 5 will the standard size be big enough or do I need the grand.....its expensive at lakeland and they dont seem to be on quidco anymore as I have just looked. Thanks in advance I know this is probably all discused here somewhere lol!JAN GC- £155.77 out of £200
FEB GC £197.31 out of £180:o. MARCH GC - out of £200

Depends what you are making BB, you can do either.

I would definitely recommend getting a shallow pan - v. useful. The rack is useful for raising a joint out of the juices. I got the separator pan and cookbook too, but haven't used them yet. You don't need to buy all these things at once btw.

Yes, you definitely need the grand...
its expensive at lakeland - Lakeland is the only Remoska retailer in the UK.

No, sadly they have disappeared from quidco.

No problem!
