Sounds fab - crispy crackling? Did you use the rack, BB?
Today I have cooked my OH's fav cake in the moski for the first time - cooked superbly. I was able to cook two in 1lb loaf tins next to each other in the grand.
This weekend I might try making pasties for the first time.
DespH - have I missed something - is there a problem with your grand?I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
I will ring them tommorrow about the loose glass in my lid. The only problem is I have had it since February 24th 2007 and can't find the receipt. I have the credit card statement thats where I got the date from, but the glass has always been loose I thought that was how it should be.0

Today I made a a quorn dish with dumplings and it was delicious - my hubby suddenly noticed the new gadget but seemed to get side tracked by the food and didn't ask any more questions (phew) - lets hope its now been accepted into our family!I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

!) Apart from adding the remoska to the household we haven't done anything differently to what we have been doing for the last 2 months (since I got The Owl usage monitor and went on the rampage!). We DID use the leccy oven a LOT before Remmy arrived but haven't used it once since, so I'm almost certain this reduction in consumption is almost entirely due to the Remoska. I'll keep monitoring the situation and update as necessary, but a 25% saving off our leccy bill would equate to approx £120 per year!
hiya 1carminestocky

Hi maz,
I can only speak from my experience and I would recommend it 110%! Best £35 we've spent in a long time, it really does bring it home to EVERYBODY in the household what consequences there are for certain usage patterns. It's gonna save us way more than £35 in its first year of use..and there aren't many gadgets that can boast that. HTH.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
I love my 'moska, been making the ciabatta loaf recipe from the panasonic bread book and cooking in the moska, it's fab. I've had mine 2 months and not used the oven once, best buy I have made in ages.

Thank you 1carmine - i know a fellow mse who had bought it via quidco i think for 30.00 so will get hubby to do it that way some earnings from quidco too i think, will check out later so others to apply
its always reassuring when a product is being used easily and it does the job correctly then you are confident to buy it, so again HUGE THANKS.
thanks too housemouse100 - we love ciabatta loaf too, so look forward to that too in the future
oh i just think we really are now so aware of how our grandmas lived that we are really going back to using those money saving ideas and back to baking and doing our own food meals from scratch,,, mind you from an italian family, pasta meals easy to prepare and with a salad easy meal from scratch
im just loving the ideas from this thread, very inspiring thanks to all who post
have a fab day everyone and catch up laters MAZSealed Pot Challenge member 1525

i've just bought a remoska and i'm wanting to try roast chicken. do you cook it for the same amount of time as you would in the oven? Do you use the rack for the chicken and how about spuds do you par cook them first? I'm not wanting to waste a chicken if it comes out wrong!! I've got quite a large chicken i'm hoping it will fit in the grand.
I thought you knowledgeable lot would know the answers. Thanks!!0 -
I have had my standard remoska for about 12 months now and use it most days. The window in the lid has always been loose and slides about, should it be like this?
What service! I phoned them this morning expaining that I had bought it in February 2007 and the glass had always been loose, but I no longer have the receipt, only my credit card statement. I was told that it was no problem I would have a new one sent out to me by Tuesday and as I am going on holiday Wednesday I could phone when I get back and arrange collection of the faulty one. If only every company gave such good service.0
