Three Itemised Billing Charges (merged threads)

It's strange that this thread is full of per minute charges complaints rather than the thread title (itemised billing charges)?
This is because two separate threads have been merged at some point.I've actually already cancelled once when 3 did change the t&c's on the Mix and Match plans when it was launched. I actually got out of that with very little hassle.
Well done (and I'm not being sarcastic!) I wonder if 3 have been going to law school since then - because they ain't giving in so easy this time round
Please keep updating with news and let us know how it goes - some people near the beginning of the thread had suggestd to go the 1st min billing rather than the itemised billing charge route as it might be easier to cancel that way - but of course your situation is rather different.0 -
Thank God I am out of 3. By the way i am one of those simply 3g customer who is been loosing and lossing only untill now. was paying £35 per month though they also gave me 150 credit. just finished that one and now out of three.
by the way they didnt offer me anything which is sad and dissapointing. The lady said i will eligible for upgrade after 3-4 months.
whatever all sorted, happy now.:T:j:mad::p:D;):eek::rotfl::A this are the signs of a lunatic.0 -
Any help appreciated, thanks.
When I tried this tack with the woman from the executive office she claimed that the terms and conditions from the day Three started trading in the UK contained the clause that they reserved the right to charge for billing if they wanted to.
So you'd basically have to prove this was incorrect if you wanted to cancel over the billing charge.0 -
Well I'm about to return the call that I got from executive office.
I'm on M&M 1100 so I don't hold much hope, but it's worth a try :rolleyes:0 -

zoe, if you read this before you ring, try my angle that because they were rolling out the change last year they failed to give you any reasonable notice and put you at a distadvantage because you wouldn't have upgraded if you'd have known about the detrimental change to company policy.0 -

Thanks Jason, I haven't rang yet. I was just finishing my brekkie!
I only took the contract out in May though so won't they just say that it was in the price guide or something? I can't remember if it was or if it wasn't!0 -

if it's a brand new contract then I would say you're stuffed whatever you do. If it was an upgrade, and you've been on three for a little while before that then I think it's worth a punt to argue that for such an important company-wide change in policy it would have been fair to advise customers that they planned to roll this out on all current and future price plans.
Argue that if you had been advised of this, then you wouldn't have upgraded - they'll say that they're the last company to introduce per-minute billing and you'd get the same elsewhere, but what i'd do is just say that you would have quite happily have given up your mobile alltogether because the only reason you went with 3 was the per-second billing.
And then say that while you might have upgraded to a per-minute plan, 3 unfairly withheld the information regarding the per-minute billing until now.
They'll say that it's your responsibility to keep updated with the T's & C's, but i'd reply that it's also the responsibility of the 3 staff to inform you of such a major change to company policy - and when they don't do this, you can't reasonably be expected to know about it because nobody knows about it.
something like that0 -

Ok, well none of the minute billing applies to me, so I'm stuffed lol.
I'll update with how it went shortly :rolleyes:0 -
Well apparently I got a price guide in the box with my phone mentioning the itemised billing charge, even though I know I didn't.
He's going to e-mail me another copy blah blah blah...
:rolleyes:0 -
just had a confirmation, in writing, of the phone call from exc office, stating the same dribble and they sent me a copy of the price guide. They havent acknowledge my last email yet but I have sent them it by recorded delivery too, which has been confirmed as delivered.0
