Another one not paid here. 13 payments gone in, no £50. They've promised to call me back tomorrow...0

Well that was super quick - phoned Natwest at lunchtime to query why the £50 wasn't paid, just got called back to say they had now credited it0

Just called them, my 50 quid's been credited! I've asked them to transfer the lot to my current a/c. Yahoo!

I had to e-mail Customer Services. On 28th September the £50 was credited to my account, so all fine there, but today I received a letter from NatWest saying that I had not fulfilled the conditions, ie standing order in place for 12 consecutive months.
My standing order was dated for the 27th of the month and 13 were paid. Checking my NatWest account there were three months when the Standing order got paid early the following month, ie February was credited on 3rd March. Their letter said that I hadn't paid August at all - but it was credited on 1st September, the day after the Bank Holiday.
NatWest have grudgingly agreed to pay the £50, so I have fulfilled my objective with this, but really..... In future, I will get the standing orders timed for mid-month to avoid going over to the new month at weekends.
Anyway, my suggestion is a strongly worded e-mail to NatWest to get the money. I am astonished that they have said I didn't fulfil the T&C's.
Good luck
Jen

Was this offer applicable to newly opened accounts only?0
-
Looks like my 50 quid was credited today - there's £50 showing as a "Transfer". The a/c I opened in my wife's name had IT'S £50 weeks ago but this - after a phone call & a customer comment via the website - is Better Late Than Never, I suppose!
Tks again to the original poster.Expect the worst & hope for the best...0 -
What do you reckon the chances are of another bank launching a similar promotion?0

Well after my £50 went in following numerous phone calls I got another in late September.
My account has now been emptied so I am happy.
If they come asking for it in future I will take as long to give it back as they took to hand it out. As well as this they can phone and write about twenty times too. It's far better to be penny wise than pound foolish.
