They are definitely stalling/holding onto as many of these £50 as possible.
My 13th payment went in on 21st AUG(thought id send an extra one just in case)I havent recieved £50 yet so phoned today to be told I should get paid on 20th SEPT.When I asked why the 2 month wait they said the 1st payment didnt count, that was just to open the account....joke.:mad:0 -
So long as all the payments went by SO, then they all count.
Don't be fobbed off by their one-liners, call them back, say you are not all
happy, make it a "Complaint" and ask for a reference number so it is
logged. If the CS member can't go much further, stay on the line
and request to speak to a Manager. Explain you have carried out
your side of the bargain and their Ts and Cs, state you will be paid
"within 1 month of the 12th payment", so please would they keep
to their promises. I insisted and got the payment arranged that
day, I wasn't going to wait until the end of the month. They can
pull the stops out if you "politely" put enough pressure on them, to honour their commitments.
Good luck0 -
I will be off like a shot once this mess is sorted as for £50 it's just not worth it. I have around £1,400 in there currently and last month I got 8p in interest.
With the 50 quid, you've made about 9% before tax. Using online banking you can easily transfer money out - however like all RBS group companies, you need to order a card and reader.0 -
now made 5 phone calls, trying to extracate my £50 payment out of nat west!
have not got a single consistent answer from any of them, they promised to ring back twice and didn't.
just spoke to a senior monkey who informed me that £50 should have been made 30 days after the 12th payment into my a/c , which was on the 05th august.
he said they sent me out a letter on friday (not rec'd yet) stating the 30 day rule.
i informed him that would have meant the payment should have gone into my a/c yesterday, so already they have failed to do as they have promised.
got his name, personnal ext no and he is going to personally take my case up with the department concerned and ring me back later.
we will wait and see!!!!!0 -
I went to my local branch today to follow up my query last week about why I wasn't paid. It has apparently been raised as a 'concern', and they did get a reply from 'Southampton', just then forgot to phone and let me know.
There are, they say, two reasons why I did not get the £50:
1) If I qualify, it will go in one month after the 12th payment (although I had already said that the reason for this query is that 3rd August + one month has already passed)
2) They are not sure if e-savings is a qualifying account.
I have set them right on both counts0 -
keep at it rb10, if you are right you should be put back in the position you should be in. If you are not right then they should give you an explanation (obviously if that's !!!!!!!! you should keep pushing lol)Kavanne

Just logged on to my account to see when I set up my S/O didnt think my year was up later this month but have realised £50 credit went in on the 26th August so I didnt need to ask.
Also the accounts were not new accounts they were just new S/O0 -
Contrary to some other experiences, very pleased with the service from Natwest on this occasion. I called 0845 605 0789 explained the situation, received a polite call back today as promised and found the £50 transfered.
I did require a card reader to move funds but overall...
WELL DONE NATWEST0 -
Withnell,
I have a card reader, they told me I needed this ages ago, but guess what still no money can go back to my lloyds account.
9% before tax sounds fantastic if it all goes as it should but with this cowboy outfit it never does for me.
Every time I have to contact them, which I will do yet again later today, I am spending some of that £50 and end up being more wound up.
For me one to avoid in future no matter what they try to suck me in with. It's far better to be penny wise than pound foolish.
