My last credit went in on 3rd August. Did yours go in around the same time?

My last was 3rd August as well, no letter and no money so far :(

Mine show up as 'BAC' on the statement, like 10_66, do the statements of someone who has had a payment or a letter show them any differently (for a standing order coming externally, in my case from Halifax)?

My transactions all showed up as 'BAC' (with no mention of them being a standing order), sent from an external bank account. The bonus was added for me yesterday - my 12th payment arrived at the beginning of August (I can't remember the exact date, but in the first few days of the month).

My wife and I both opened an account, the last payment was August 1st, we both got credited £50 today. I have cancelled the 13th payment (1st Sept)

I've got mine too despite all the problems getting the standing order arranged. I was convinced I wouldn't get it but kept making the payments just in case :)
  • I've now had my £50 too, just 3 days after my last payment & BACS showing on my online statement.

Just now need to get all my money out, last time I tried that they said I could only withdraw my money into another Natwest account which is a bit tricky as I don't have another Natwest account .
:j Go on, shake your money maker! :j

Must be a Halifax thing, 'cause that's where mine came from too. Still nothing today.

Hmm... Well I contacted them yesterday and now they've come back and have just credited me with the £50. BUT I was told by Natwest the offer was only applicable to newly opened accounts. Of course that is simply bad information as the original terms (see this posting) make no reference to 'newly opened' accounts - simply accounts not already having any standing order in their favour (and since a standing order is held by the paying-in institution how would the receiving institution even know this?)

(Stick to your guns, be polite and point out their error if this comes up)
.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam

That's a load of cack. I set up the standing order on a stagnant e-savings account I have with NatWest, and I was paid without a hitch

after many phone calls, trying card readers and waiting an hour in a branch, I've finally got my savings out plus £50 cashback.

I wrote a letter to Savings Direct with my bank details of current account (not Natwest) asking them to close the account and transfer all monies (you have to sign the letter).

After a week I chased this by phone, they tried to say that they hadn't received it, but eventually they said that they actually had received it and the transfer would take 5 days.

This is all done and dusted now without a charge from Natwest.

It can be done, but not without a fight.
