Natwest £50 savings cashback loophole

Now, it's SUnday, so I can't look this up and I can't really be bothered but all my FPs on my online banking show up as BACS. This could just be a natwest/rbs quirk because they can't be bothered to change their system. But a standing order payment into Natwest will appear as a BACS payment as 'type' on your statement and it may say 'FP' in the Description section.I thought BACS took 3 to 4 working days to be processed. The monthly payments into my NatWest e-savings account, since March '09, have been received by NatWest on the same day they were sent from my external bank. Doesn't this mean that the Standing Orders were sent by FP?
Ta da.
I'll think before I type next time.
PS I am doing my best to help and reassure you all that you do qualify!!Kavanne

My post wasn't a criticism, only a question.0 -
I've now made 12 payments - 1st one 5th September.
They seem to appear as BACS, I hope they are not going to try and con their way out of giving me the £50, though if Martin gets on the case on behalf of a group of us, they may find it hard!Wycombe Till I Die0 -

So I have just made payment number 13 and still no cash (opened account in August 08). Just rang online banking and they said that I should expect to recieve my money in September as they are still paying, and that it's just a case of waiting. I asked them to double check my account and they said that it will qualify, I just have to wait!Chipping away at the mortgage...2013:£419k @ 3.14%

Both my wife and I have separate accounts both running mid Aug 2008 to mid July 2009. My wife's paid ok late July but none so far for me.
Just rung the help desk and was told they accept some are late, but they are working to all July dates to be settled by or on 28th August.0 -
I just received a Natwest letter through the post entitled "Your £50 reward with our thanks".
"We're pleased to confirm that £50 will be paid into your savings account at the end of August" :money:0 -
