My 12th payment went in on monday (the 3rd) Shame we are not getting the money paid as quick as people did last month, but still nice knowing it should arrive

Just called Natwest who said my £50 would go in on 30th September (my 12th payment went through on 4th August) so looks as if those who got paid quickly were the lucky ones!
I'll be interested to hear how you get on. If you can post on here when you get yours I'd be grateful.

    Cheers

Spoke to NatWest today to see if they could clarify when payment should be made (I explained that their original information said within 1 month of 12th consecutive payment), and I was told that it should be within 4-6 weeks of last payment. Like most organisations these days, it seems that if we talk to different people, we'll get different versions.

I've actually made 13 consecutive payments now and no £50 so just phoned to chase and they're calling me back. Shall let you know what happens.

I have made 12 payments, so called to find out when I would get money. Was told payments made by BACS so not eligible. Asked them to look into it and received letter saying the same. Had to print off copy of S/O and send letter. Than had to fax copies as they did not receive it. Just got a call back now advising I am eligible but first deposit was done by BACS so will need to wait until next month when 12th S/O payment goes through. I said that this was fine but asked them to compensate me for my time costs etc. in getting matter rectified. Was told they would reimburse phone calls on production of bill but not time. They do not make "goodwill" payments. I have banked with NatWest for 21 years, which I pointed out to the person I spoke to but she didn't seem to care. Can anyone recommend any good current accounts - service aswell as benefits?

Lloyds TSB Vantage with 4% interest if you have enough in there :)

  • I've received my £50 cashback pretty much within days of making my 12th payment. Only problem is I now need the money that is in there, I've been told by Natwest Telephone banking to apply in writing (!) and when I went to the branch in person, they had to search on the internet to find out how I could withdraw the money, after spending my entire lunch hour in the branch, they made some phone calls, chatted with each other and finally said that I could transfer my money into my current account (RBS) for a fee of £20.00 or to avoid the fee I could open a Natwest Current Account. I refused both options and would now like to close the account

I'm hoping to get better luck by applying in writing. I've tried the internet banking option, but this doesn't allow you to transfer monies with this particular account...

Are you sure? I'm able to transfer money out to a separate account held at a different bank. You may need the internet banking card and card reader to set up a new payee though. These can be ordered via internet banking though I'm sure I received mine automatically.

Are you sure? I can (and do, regularly) transfer out from my e-Savings account. Granted you need a card reader to set up new payees, but it certainly is possible.

    EDIT: cross posted with Crabman.

I have been transferring out my £100 each month, the day after it landed, back to my current account with Lloyds, using the card reader.
    No problem at all.
