Ahh right, was that with the wallpaper paste? My edges were a little bit rough in places but I smoothed them round with my fingers and they weren't too bad, I also thought about smoothing them down with PVA glue to seal them transparently.

I'm not 100% sure of your theme, but if it's brown and rustic, instead of shoelaces, would beige coloured twine go?? I thought ribbon would look far too girly on mine for my nephew so opted for the white nylon 'rope' from some packaging.

savvy - think you could be right about the twine..........the pocket I did for the front was in a beige material -maybe if I mixed brown and beige twine ? Trial and error I think................lol (Oh -didn't use wallpaper paste in the end............had a slight mishap with pva glue.......it all came out in a load at once so had to use it up..............lol -just wasn't my day was it !)

On another mission now to find little handbags embellishments.........I've found some surplus MDF and want to put shaker style pegs in it to make handbag pegs for grandaughter...............I''ve seen a few but they're all a bit on the pink side so if you know of anywhere that does these I'd be grateful..........googled in handbag embellishments and came up with a load of handbag charms...............lol

I'm pretty sure I saw handbag embellishments in Hobbycraft not sure if they stock the same in every store (mine didn't have the wooden door hangers!) but if you have one might be worth checking out!

furrypig - thanks, but we're severly lacking many shops around here, including hobbycraft so it's a case of googling and finding a reliable site to get them from (thats also cheap !)

Thanks furrypig and ikkle = don't know why I didn't find them..............lol Couldn't see for looking I expect.
They're all lovely...........think I like the HandyHippo ones.......they'd be more the sort grandaughter would like I think.......
Thanks for the flower fairy decoupage...............I'll show my friend and see what she says. She's going into hospital soon and wants something to do when she comes out.

(Have covered shoe box -two attempts, thought I'd tear my hair out and now I need one little bit of paper cos I can out..............lol
Then covered twiglet tube.........thought it would be so easy..........oh no ! Get the feeling I just might have to do that again:mad: )

Thought I'd share this site with you that I have just been using, a warning sign label generator ....

    http://www.warningsigngenerator.com/

Once I had made my choice of warning and picture, I left the text blank, then inserted the picture into powerpoint and inserted my own text using a text box, as I found you couldn't resize or change the font colour.
