Cheers rainmac, it's for my 14 yr old nephew who has just got into surfing. I painted the edges, coverd both sides with the same colour paper which rippled a bit, but then covered it over with some pics from a surfing mag I've had for ages, so it's given it a really smooth finish without any ripples. The Blue Wahoo tag is off a pair of jeans I bought, so I stuck another surf picture over the back of it, I've added a bit of white string cos I'm not sure if the hanger will go over their handles

The only problem I had was that the pic one side didn't quite reach the end of the hanger, so had to paint a bit of surf on the top! :o:rotfl:

    Hi Savvy,

Love your door hanger it's really cool. My boys like it and at 17 they are so hard to please so you're on a winner there.

savvy - your hangers look brilliant (where did you get the 'brave the unknown' wording from ?- think I'll send for some more (I'll not be beat !) and have another go.
Thanks for the link to teenage sayings..............I hear a lot of them most days with the kids I've got who seem to finish every sentence with 'innit' !!!
My grandson doesn't talk like than (thankfully!) so..........I'll have to have another think.

craftygranny - thanks for the link -I need some embellishments -our craft shop is lacking in a lot of things like that.

I also need a website that I can get flower fairy pictures from............my disabled friend is wanting to do some decoupage or something like that but wants it to be fairies............any ideas ?

LOL no worries mary, the link was only a joke, I didn't think for one minute any grandson of yours would talk like that innit ;)

The words 'Brave the Unknown' were on a leaflet for Blue Wahoo stuck in the mag - I ty my hardest to recycle stuff and love cutting magazines up :D If your paper is still puckering up, try a scrap bit on it first then your special bit over the top - seemed to work a treat on mine.

The paper on mine is lovely and smooth............just the bits where I trimmed round the circle are a bit 'rough' but think I might get away with it.............lol
I used some dark brown shoe laces to tie at each side (paper is dark brown with a sort of 'distressed' look............not sure the dark brown laces look quite right..............any ideas ? I can only think of getting some brown and cream/beige ribbon -got to have something to cover up couple of tears..........lol
